XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

I personally do not have the XV6900 but to all of you who do, I deemed it necessary to create this thread and consolidate questions and answers.

PLEASE ask your questions here and if you have answers, answer them here as well. This will help keep the forum organized and avoid a dozen or so duplicate threads being created asking the same questions.

!!NOTE:: I do not own an XV6900 nor do I even have Verizon as my carrier so I am not able to answer questions personally. I just created this thread as a way to help all of you Verizon folks out.

So we've already got the thumbs down on GPS...

Still, I'm interested in a few things, namely:

1. What came in the package?
2. What kinda B.S. did VZW stick on the TouchFlo cube?

Quesions I have about the Verizon version (I have the sprint) - I'm sure many have been answered but it would be nice for me to have them gathered.

1 Does it come with GPS fully enabled or do you have to use a verizon GPS subscription? With the Sprint you have the choice of using Sprint's subscription or using an external GPS as the internal one doesn't work with most GPS programs.


2 What is the radio version? Sprint is 2.13

3 Does it come with EVDO Rev A? Sprint won't be for a while.

4 Does it come with WM 6 or 6.1? Sprint comes with 6 but you can get some nice 6.1 versions in the upgrade section of this forum for the Sprint phone from people kind enough to create them.

1. GPS is not activated yet.
2. Radio version is just a number, it is 1.60.30
3. Rev A is not active yet to my knowledge
4. It is WM6 CE OS 5.2.1946 (Build 18550.0.7.4)

1. In the package was XV6900(1), XV6900 Standard Battery(1), XV6900 Standard Battery Door(1), Home Charger(1), Sync Cable(1), Stylus(2), Wired Headset Adapter(1), Simple Pouch(1), VZ Access Manager CD(1), Getting Started CD(1), RF Brochure(1), Read First Poster(1), Quick Reference Guide(1).

2. I already don't remember... lol I think it was just colored icons but I really don't recall...
