Incoming call not fully displaying

I'm using OMJ V15 (I think?) whichever one is the newest, I Just flashed about a week ago. However, I have been having this problem with other roms too which is why i'm posting a new thread. Anyways, I'm sure other people are experiencing this problem and I have a hunch that its WM6.1 related however I'm not certain. Basically, when I recieve an incomming call, I can only see some of the name and part of the picture until I press the talk button then in the "in call" screen I can then see everything I normally should, anyone have a fix for this? Its getting really annoying not knowing whose calling.

Re: Incoming call not fully displaying

I've got the same issue, but can't figure out how it started. I've been running OMJ's latest 6.1/gps VZW rom for a month and didn't see this issue. All the sudden, the incoming call number is getting cut off on the incoming call notification screen. I don't remember when this started happening, but the only things I remember changing ws a theme or two and I updated pocketweather.

I have the stock HTC dialer that came in OMJ's rom and reverted back to the default theme (rom default and wm6.1 default), and removed all of my today plugins yet the number still gets cut off. Anyone else seeing this issue or have any idea what is going on?

Happens on the OEM Roms too... nothing new, just no fix that I know of yet...

Re: Incoming call not fully displaying

This can occur on completely stock roms with no additional programs installed, and anything beyond. You can read on other users' experiences in these threads:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=29529
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22759

To sum it up, the issue will go away if you soft reset, or rotate to landscape mode, then back to portrait mode. Still no idea what causes it... hopefully HTC/Sprint will address it in the 6.1 release they're working on (note, the bug does exist in the Sprint 3.02 leaked rom).

Hope this helps.

Re: Incoming call not fully displaying

yep...unfortunately, it happens and it is quite a pain to not be able to monitor your calls. When I got my first touch, I had this problem and I switched to the Mogul because of this and the keyboard. Since then, I have switched back to a touch and have not had the caller ID problem until recently. I am also using an OMJ rom. Not the ROM though because I had the problem with the original Sprint Rom.

Re: Incoming call not fully displaying

Thanks for your help guys.
I was able to fix my problem by adding the following to the registry and soft resetting.

on key: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone
create new dword: CallIDMatch = 7

Hope this works for others

I am using dotfred and I am not sure how to create new dword. I did do a search for dword but came up empty handed. Think you could help me out on this one?

Great ill give it a go. I have the OEM rom and this happens all the time, the only way to cure it for me is to soft reset.

I don't use dotfred, but I'd imagine there is an option to create a new entry and specify type dword.
