personally I like flashing because i'm a geek, and I am bored, so what if it freezes now and then, a soft reset now and then is good for it, sure It would be nice if it did not freeze, but the freezes have yet to interupt anything important, so for the sake of advancement, I refuse to give up on custom roms and testing new stuff

I still say if your device NEVER freezes, you just don't use it much.

I get freezes from time to time, but I also ran the stock ROM for about a month before I decided to learn to build my own, and still had freezes from time to time.

Just my 2 cents.

I use the CRAP out of mine, and it straight up does not freeze. Maybe I'm just lucky.

What do you consider a long phone call? How long until it locks up? Maybe I just haven't been on the phone as long and that's why I don't have the problem.

After trying pretty much every single 6.1 ROM out there (and having them all freeze at least 2-5 times a day with heavy use) I finally gave OMJ's v7 a try yesterday. The good news is I have yet to have a freeze during normal operation (where all the other ROMs would hang). The bad however is that I've had it not wake up (and unable to receive calls) while in sleep mode 3 times so far - and to me that's far worse since I've missed calls now because of it. I'm going to try re-flashing today with a fresh download incase something else went wrong.

im using ghettos and so far only 1 lockup under extensive and massive use not bad

I'm have been using JD's Sprint OEM 6.1 Rom build 19199 for a few weeks now and have not had a single lockup. I have an hour long commute home and talk usually the whole way every day, I send 10-20 txt's a day and have two email accounts setup for push using the seven beta push client. Plus I browse the web every day at work when i'm bored.

I HAVE NEVER HAD A SINGLE LOCKUP. In my opinion the rom is just as stable as the OEM rom that shipped with my touch.
