Re: I'm finally get a touch...

hmm..

what is the main diffrerence between the touch for verizon vs. for sprint. Is it suppose to be thinner?

and please don't say its white.. i know that.

Also, what are the detailed instructions in doing SERO plan? i looked on wikipedia for my way of doing it.

When they make the same phone for different carriers, they change colors and some aesthetics, but they wouldn't make it thinner. I'm pretty sure that's just a rumor because the guy who first posted pics of the Verizon Vogue said it "seems thinner".

and please don't say its white.. i know that. Didn't directly say it

Also, what are the detailed instructions in doing SERO plan? i looked on wikipedia for my way of doing it. Sero plan is very easy. You need to find a Sprint Employee that is will to give you their email. Then go to sprint.com/sero and sign up online. I used the Promo Code "URANG" at checkout for an additional $50 invoice credit.
Regarding the GPS, don't hold your breath. Brighthand says Yes, but Verizon didn't say Yes. Seems strange.

Re: I'm finally get a touch...

Hey guys: Over at howardforums a manual was posted ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/XV6900.pdf . On page 32 there is some mention of the GPS radio: "External GPS Set the appropriate GPS communication ports, if required. You may need to do this when there are programs on your XV6900 that access GPS data or you have connected a GPS receiver to your XV6900. See Help for details."

Also on page 54: "Location Setting: Allow the mobile phone network to detect your current location via your XV6900’s built-in GPS chip. This is especially useful in times of emergency. On the upper right of the Phone screen, one of these icons will be shown: ON (your location can be detected) OFF (your location cannot be detected except by 911)"

Also page 147: "Amber light for GPS status."

Not sure if that helps or not, but I thought I would help save some time from having to search the manual yourselves.

Re: I'm finally get a touch...

For sero:
Go to sprint.com/sero
In the box which requires a referral email, type savings@sprintemi.com
That email address works about 95% of the time. If it doesn't, google Sprint Press release, and use the Sprint corporate email address at the top of any of the resulting pdf's. Its as simple as that. Its an amazing deal, unbeatable in wireless imho. Its 500 minutes+unlimited data for $30, and sometimes they even throw in free texting.

From what I recall, each of those quotes is the same as was in the Sprint version of the manual; guess we'll all have to wait. (I did email a corporate contact at Verizon, I'll let y'all know if I get a conclusive answer).

Re: I'm finally get a touch...

What surprises me is that this unit will already be available in April..

That means it has been in and has past <-editor blocks that word> it's testing phases and we've never even gotten a glimpse or a word on leaked roms? Working GPS etc?

They must have ran a really tight ship over there on this.

P.S. or someone's been holding out

White Touch case cracking.

There seems to be an issue with the Bell Mobility Limited Edition White Touch case cracking.

It looks like they are just starting to see a reoccurring trend.

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1339304

Hopefully Verizon is/was aware of this and the issue has been resolved prior to release or they will have it bomb when complaints start rolling in.
