Music skipping and passing the buck :(

I had this problem when I first got the phone and thought it was just my mp3 files, then my storage card and then figured out that putting the phone in airplane mode served as a work around. I contacted Sprint about that being unacceptable and they said it was a known problem and that HTC was working on it. I finally got around to contacting HTC and they threw it right back in Sprint's lap. I just emailed Sprint again about that response from HTC. I just wish I had kept the original Sprint email, darn it.

Anyone else have a similar experience on this matter?

Re: Music skipping and passing the buck :(

I think that if you download TCPMP and use that you'll be OK. This worked for me.

Thanks, that seems to work while I'm in my apt. I played the same song with HTC audiomanager and it had skipping as usual. TCPMP doesnt skip or it's so small I cant hear it, at least with that song.

It's too bad the interface isnt as nice as HTC audio manager and it doesnt interface with the 6 tab today screen.

PocketMusic has a better interface than either (my opinion, of course). If you've ever used/liked WinAmp, you'll want PM, which is skinable so you can make the interface look how you want (as I have in my avitar). The only time PM playback breaks up for me is when I go to the Today Screen (while PM is playing in background). You can get the fairly full featured free version or pay something like $20 for a bundle of extras, here:

That reminds me, I have a pocketplayer demo I forgot about. That has a nice interface as well and seems to not have the skipping problem either. It also has 2 audio buffer options and I selected the larger.

I'll try pocketmusic as well soon.
