question on everyones favorite theme,apps,etc

Ok, im pretty new to the touch, before I was using an upstage so this is a pretty big (and quite intimidating) jump, especially since this is my first smart phone. My question is, what are some great apps, themes?

Ive been using audio manager and it seems cool so far, google maps is great as well. Whats the best way to get my vogue to look like the iphones UI? I got really use to the UI from using my ipod touch for so long, and this kind of theme would be perfect for me (even if I have to flash)

Also where can I find the best ways to edit the reg to make it faster (and am I correct in assuming I can edit the reg without a modded firmware?)
