I have a 8 gig in my touch and it works fine with my stock ROM. Just installed and it picked it up right away without formatting or anything.

Got my 8 gig yesterday, put it in, and was done, 7.59 gigs or something like that.
Already installed about 5 gigs worth of stuff :) Movies and a bunch of other things.

if you bought it off of ebay, chances are that you got a counterfeit card. they do exist and about 95% of cards on ebay are counterfeit. you need to call the manufacturer for verification. i used to work for sandisk tech support and got this kind of call ALL the time. its sad but the counterfeits look JUST like real cards. the packaging is the same too. 9 times out of 10 you cant tell its counterfeit just by looking at it. you need to call in.

most of these counterfeits are crap quality and to not perform as specified. i think this is your problem.

woooooow I hope not I also think I might need the hc card reader I got one so I'll keep you guys posted I hope I didn't get ripped off If I did oh well I aint gonna loose any hair over it you know what I mean lol!!!:)

Yeah!!!!! my hc card reader came today I can put music on it fine now and it gives me like 7.6 gigs not bad I also used mortplayer to read the card on my phone cuz sprint music store doesn't work with the 8 gig thanks to everyone who helped me problem resolved !!you all rock:headbang:

I abandonded the sprint music store month's ago when I got my 4gb SDHC card. Everything on my touch worked with the new card except the Srpint Music Store. I just however loaded OMJ's v6 rom and the music store saw my card and found my previous music. You may look for some update to either the java or groove mobile app. The ROM is very stable if you want to load it up. It may even see the 8GB SDHC cards...

6 gig works on touch and mogul so far that i seen without a patch

Yes, the 8gb works in the sprint htc touch.

The Touch will work with up to 16 gb cards. I currently use a 8 gb sdhc without any problems.

no. what rom are you using? most roms have the patch included now.
