i have a 8 gig i bought from DZ-tech on ebay and it works just fine. I paid $84 and i been usuing it for over a month. I also loaded almost 8g worth of music on it and dragged it back to my pc to make sure it was a true 8gig.

I just installed a sandisk 8gb micro sdhc and it worked fine.

It came formatted fat32 and I just stuck it in my computer via usb thumb reader and copied the files from my old storage card to the new card and then swapped them. Everything recognizes the 7782.5 mb (settings>memory app, windows media player and the vista file system).

I am running a customized version of No2Chem's NueRom-V 107 ROM but I doubt that has anything to do with it as many others have reported being able to use 8 gig cards as well.

Joe - Are you referring mainly to the music from the Sprint Music Store? Because the 8 gig card works on the Touch itself, just not with the Sprint Muisc Store. I don't know why and it took me 3 calls and 3 hours to come to that conclusion. I was able to find someone to reimburse my account for all the songs I purchased and am now unable to listen to because Sprint's Music Store is a joke.

Same here. Though I did not do a full 8 gigs of music.
Has worked flawlessly.

Your problem may be a fake MicroSD card. Ebay is known for selling fake and crappy flash memory. I have heard of countless people getting fake SD cards, Memory Sticks, etc from ebay. They look just like the real thing but is nothing more than crap. Just something to consider.

Yeah I have to agree with algtz1. I have been using my 8 gig card all day with no problems. I only have about 6 gigs on so far but my touch reads the card as having the full 7780 something MBs. I have been burned by Ebay myself and have subsequently stopped buying cards from there.

I reformatted it to Fat32. It's loaded w/ music and videos.

I installed WM5torage_1.8_Touch.cab, and I connected the phone to the pc. Then I just had the pc format it for me. I couldn't get the regular WM5torage to work, so I used this tweaked version.
