Has anyone tried taking the drivers off the Titan for GPS yet?
 

Before someone goes off on me, the Titan actually has GPS drivers installed by the update... I just checked and under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver, the Titan now has drivers listed while the Touch does not.

I'm just curious if anyone has actually moved the DLLs and reconfigured the registry or if people are just resolving to it not being able to be done...

Anyway, I'm trying to get the drivers copied off the filesystem to the SD card but its not working very well. I found six drivers with GPS* in the Windows folder but Total Commander can't seem to copy or zip them. If anyone wants to help me figure this out, I have both devices in my possession and I think its possible to hack this. I don't believe that the radio ROM enabled the GPS, it was the drivers and associated registry entries.

Isn't there a program that will enable your PPC to be read as a USB drive by your computer?

Oh well, if nothing else we'll just wait for the Verizon Touch to come out in February and get the ROM from it.

Actually, you're right, there is... I wonder if it will work... Trying it now.

Nah, it can't mount the OS flash - freezes the phone.

I'm going to try a few other things...

EDIT: Okay, I was able to get four of the files from no2chem's basekit... let me see if I can find some way to get the phone to actually take them now.

me too...if someone can find a way to hack accessto the GPS on Mogul without using that leaked rom update which has way to many adverse affects than that would be great

Yeah you guys will have to give me a bit, I need sleep. Ugh.

This is my first stab at hacking my phones myself so its going to be a trial and error process. I'm sure I'll brick my Touch a few times lol.

why don't you try just extracting it from the rom file
like dcd_titan_2.1.0_sprint.exe and extract the files out of here and into the touch
its pretty easy just download that file, then extract the nbh out of the exe
then use this link
