Wow I never knew the Mirror was for taking pictures of yourself, personally I never even noticed that part about it until now...

This may not be news to anyone, but from an economical perspective, I've found it much easier to carry a few extra normal (1100mAh) batteries around and I find that on a heavy use day I only really have to swap once. Your usage may differ, but the cost for me is much less. I found the normal batteries for $6.95 on eBay, true shipping was 5.95 making the whole deal $13 but, if you buy two like I did, you save on shipping. Plus with the money I saved I bought a cradle charger with the extra spot in back to charge another battery for about $24. Check around for deals, some of those batteries come with a complimentary car charger and/or home charger (you can never have too many... one for girlfriend's house, office, favorite bar...etc) Over $50 for one battery is still steep and you know it's going to progressively hold less and less of a charge like all batteries. I try to evenly swap my 3. I don't know how iPhone folks deal with the sealed battery thing.
By the way, if you haven't seen the stylus for Sprint Touch on Seidio website... (it extends and has a pen in the cap, nice touch, -no pun intended) it's really handy.

Do alot on ebay and found them for around $24 + s/h but never at $6.95 at least they didnt "sell" at that price. I have found them less but didnt fit in my touch. If you see it again let me know. thanks

I have the 1500 mAH and the 2200 mAH to review. I have been using the 15600mAH for the last few days. I probably won't get around to testing the 2200 mAH until the middle of next week. I will post my findings then.

your solution is one i considered, but i prefer the 2000 mAh battery...i can get through my day (16-18 hrs) with this battery on a single charge. i do, however, keep the slim battery as a backup. the extra thickness is not an issue for me; it's a tradeoff that i'm more than willing to accept. once the REV A and (hopeful) GPS update is available, i'll have a near-perfect device for my use. (that is, until i can get my hands on an XDA Orbit 2!!)

ebay has the batteries so cheap i have 2 spare and a usb cradle charger. total price was like 18.95 and now i can swap out and have it charge all at the same time.

After a extensive use of the battery over the last week I think it is the best investment. The added thickness makes typing with my thumbs so much easier and the extended life keeps me away from having to charge it every time I have a chance. I can really enjoy the Touch now without having to worry about battery life.

I am still having a tough time on seeing how much thicker it is. does anyone have better before and after pics?

I've been switching my stock battery for about 2 months daily and noticed that some times i have to take it out and reinstall into my phone. i think just taking it out and swapping daily is wearing out the spring load on it. I may have to consider the extended battery. Thanks for the info this will help in choosing.
