How to get 6th tab on HTC Home Plugin?
 

Alright I have tried just about every method I have read about to restore the 6th tab on the home plugin but nothing has worked thus far. I have already tried deleting the quick dial key in the registry but that just messed up the cube.

What I am asking is whether or not it is possible to get the 6th tab on the home plugin and still keep my cube working properly and keep quickdial?

Anybody?

I haven't actually tried it because I don't need it... but...

Have you tried the HHC Customizer posted in the Software forum? I know it allows selecting tabs, the order, etc.

Yes I've tried that. I have HHC 0.8b installed because 1.0 is buggy and th download server doesn't work properly. I wasn't able to get the 6th tab using that either. inside HHC it shows that all 6 tabs are visible but it still isn't there.

i had this problem on the first touch rom and the only way i got it working was installing many different versions of the plugin but i can't remember which it was.

I believe you can only get 5 tabs on the stock/included vogue plugin.

If you can get 6 tabs on the Kaiser, Wizard, Titan, and so many other devices then it has to be possible to get it working on the Touch. Somehow, it HAS to work.

Here ya go....all ya got to do is install the cab....I've been using it since I got the Touch....use the HTC Customizer to tweak it

yeah It works but the xtra tab is speed dial why can't it be the actual contacts then I could change my right softkey. Then this would be useful....

please elaborate what the 6th tab is before I install. Is it the picture speed dial just like other HTC home plugins that is used on the titan, etc.? Or is it a different speed dial?

Also, is it uninstallable? If I uninstall will I get the default old HTC 5 tab back?

Here is a link to the HTC 6 tab I use. It has the Home tab with clock, Phone tab with 9 contacts in it, Weather, Program launcher, Media player launcher, and Ring profile. Also in the RaR file is the Customizer I use and it works even to dl more icons and Themes. Link...

yes, the 6th tab is picture speed dial, just like the HTC Home you may have used on other devices. The picture speed dial tab is the same as it's always been.

yes, you can uninstall to go back to the stock 5 tab.

I used the HTC Home version from N2A's web site which only has 3 tabs. Does this 6 tab version contain that patched?

I was able to restore the "Favorite People" tab in the default HTC Home plugin by disabling the ToucuFLO Cube, deleting HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\QuickDial, and then adding "Tabsetting" = "1,2,4,3,6" to HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome, which specifies the order I want the tabs in (minus the Music tab, which I never use).

Works like a charm! :)

Doesnt installing this plugin that (adds the speed dial tab) disable the cube's speed (pic) dial automatically?

Dunno, never installed the updated HTC Home plugin. I want to keep as much free space available as possible.

In Future, If Link Is Dead For FTP Server...Just Drop Off The Last File Before / Mark And Browse The Files Manualy.

try reading past page 1, I noted this link was not working earlier this week and a new link was posted withing hours.... all on page 3.

And thanks again for posting it, it works great, now just have to use the customizer to change the music link to the Audio Manager.... time, I just need time!

I can't really understand why so many people stress having 6 tabs on the touch. All you miss is the quick dail tab which is not needed cause that's the job of touch cube. I mean is it really that serious people??? I mean you have the home tab, weather, app launcher, profiles and music launcher. What else do you need ????

Hi to all. I am new to this forum....
I tried to installt the above software for the 6 tabs on my Mobile Planet Touch. My Touch is unlocked and on the Tmobile System... The program installed, but when I went to the tab control in my today screen settings menu and checked off fav. people or even any kind of access to that HTC tab page on the today settings the Touch would lock up. I tried it at least 5-6 times and each time it would lock the phone up. I either had to restore with SPB back-uo or remove the app from the phone with remove the remove programs App. PS I had about 7.5 storage mem and 11.5 prog mem when this app was installed.
Any ideas would be appreciated... Fred

After i download this 6th tab cab. The touch is running super slow and also doesnt let the htc home customizer program to save my current theme it goes back to a standard htc theme that come when you first turn it on right out of the box. Am I doing something wrong? Or how can i delete this bc I cant find where it want on the phone.
