htc vouge randomly shuts off and never turns back on

hi ive had my vouge for about a month now and it randomly shuts off. what it does is it shuts off the screen the green led turns on, then shuts off the system. i cant turn it on like the battery has drained or somthing. it it started doing it when i flashed it with the sprint rom with gps and rev a. now i put on mustan's 6.1 rom and it does it still. did i break it? do i need to send it out? is this fixable by an applcation?

Something I noticed on mine was oxidation on the battery contacts. My Touch would randomly shut off completely. One day after this happened, I turned the device on, removed battery cover, and jiggled the battery. Sure enough, the device shut off.

Remove the battery and scrape the contacts to remove any oxidation. Since doing this I've not had one problem.

You can often clean contacts with a pencil eraser to help this.

hmmm never thought of that, ill try it and tell u what happenes

update:charging up, when i shaked it bfore, it never turned off. and when it turns off, it wont turn on again. its like the battery has depleted some how. but it never gives low battery warning?

Does the phone operate normally until the screen turns off? The only way to get it working again is to reset it?
If this is what's happening, I had the same thing. I was using the wrong loader with the new (3.xx) radio. There is a thread on here that discusses this but can't remember exactly where it is now.

it wud turn of the screen, then the device. it couldn't reset because the battery thought it was dead.any who i just went to telus for a switch and they said my battery was no good. i hope that this ist software and i ruin this one

GAH it did it again. but this time the gauage goe 50-80 and then to 99

I have the same issue, the only way to get it working again is to remove the battery and put it in again. I guess it's happening to a number of us

its funny how it happened after i flashed my phone with a new rom. radio problems?
