Question on Manila ROMs

Quick question about the different Manila ROMs, all opinions are welcome.

Will these new ROMS be faster than just installing the Manila 2D cab on a previously cooked ROM? Or is the other way going get better performance out of the phone?

i see a lot of people complaining about lag...and that's that sometimes in ROM threads but mostly its after install to a ROM they had but this is has a subject of opinion or else you could just read through he forums a gather what you feel yourself-you know.

I would guess that manila2d would run slower on a ROM that has the cube on it. Otherwise I don't see how it would make a difference. it should depend most on what other programs are always running in the background.

Personally, as a noob, I'm sticking with rom versions, since they often get the kinks worked out through a communal approach.
