Yeah, I'm wondering why HTC would play the "Buy the next device if you want that feature" card since there are so many other WM6 device makers out there. You would think that providing their customers with the best support possible would be their strategy.

Hello fellow members. I am following this whole issue of these HTC phones. I signed the petition mainly because I work in the IT field and I know how PC run without proper drivers. And from what I have observed from my newly bought Touch is that is suffers from proper drivers. Theres some good youtube videos out there that some this issue. Luckily I can still return this phone since I have the 30 day window still available. I didnt want to say this but the iphone is looking better and better by the day.

6600, 6700 fiasco? Can you explain please. I would love to keep the Touch, but if Htc is denying anything wrong the I will settle for a Iphone. And dear God I dont want that. Btw... this is the response that I got from Htc.And it looks like they are hell bent in satisfying their loyal customers............................I am happy to hear that you are interested in getting an AT&T Tilt.*Please note, *“HTC is committed to delivering a portfolio of devices that offer a wide variety of communication, connectivity and entertainment functionality.* HTC does not offer dedicated or optimized multimedia devices and can confirm that its Qualcomm MSM7xxx-based devices do not use ATI’s Imageon video acceleration hardware.

HTC's further response: http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/25/h...mprove-future/
Bottom line - they won't do a thing for this generation but they'll take our complaints to heart when they release a NEW device. This is still okay though because ripping the drivers should be trivial beyond belief. |

Screw buying a new device... I hope those drivers spead across the web like wildfire. The end-user will always win... |

I think that at least the HTC engineers are aware of this and could very well be the reason they are not getting off their ass to help us.
