That is not my experience... when I installed vista cube with the alltel rom (actually an alltel phone) all my icons worked, even though they were on my storage card. The only problem was the last cube side.

Side note: For about two months now I have been posting on here to get someone to post a copy of the makephonecall.exe file out of the windows directory. Alltel phones don't have that file, and that means I can't link other cube (vista or maccube) icons to call. If someone can do that I would greatly appreciate it!

so basically once we install we have to move the icon sub dir. to windows, then change the registry to point to /windows/... .brn?

1.Is there a path to turn bluetooth on and off without going through comm manager? I would like to use a BT icon to do this instead of having to open comm mgr.

2nd. Instead of requesting other icons I need, can someone tell me how to make them for this cube including the press.brn? I would like to use the exact style to match these. Thanks!

I'd like to know also, is there Direct Link to turn on/off BLUETOOTH????

FIXED VISTA CUBE 2.0 FOR REV-A/GPS ALLTEL BASED ROMS

READ EVERYTHING BELOW

I found a little extra time and edited Polen's Vista Cube 2.0_4 sides blank animation so that the icons will install in the /Windows/Vista Cube/Icons and Animations folders. i also edited the registry so that it will point to the icons.

I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS WHAT SO EVER!!! i just did some dirty work that polen hasnt quite gotten to yet. who knowwws what kind of stuff he's workin on. (maybe v3.0??????) lol thatd b sweet.

anyway, I Installed and tested on my Vogue with GPS/REV-A update. I have the Alltel radio and im using ghettofreeryder's rom, works like a charm! soft reset after install and b-i-n-g-o! Vista Cube 2.0 is back and ready for action!

NOW DONT FORGET THAT ANY CUBE ICONS YOU WANT TO ADD MUST BE ADDED TO /Windows/Vista Cube/Icons directory.

keep that in mind when you edit the registry to change the icons!

ENJOY!!! i know i am - THANKS AGAIN POLEN!!!

WARNING: the first time i went to uninstall this it didnt uninstall all the way, i tried re-installing and it said it couldnt, i did a soft reset, and it was completly un-installed. I reinstalled it after that and it works fine! just a warning you may want to make a Backup incase you need to hard reset for some reason

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Forgive the noob question but live search and ondemand buttons do not work. When I try, a box with a red X pops up saying "The file " cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. I'm using WM 6.1 rom from piperom (PipeROM v1.2) I have sprint service. I guess I have to manually point the app to the path I want to open. How do I do that?

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Use the Cube Config Tool stickied at the top of the forum.

Re: Vista Cube 2.0

Thanks Musicman but I downloaded it but it looks like it's for the original sprint cube. It's not for the vista 2.0 cube. Where can I get the one for the Vista Cube 2.0 Thanks. I downloaded cubeconfig 4.1
