Shogun's threaded SMS app is a version of the Palm app and cannot be posted on PPCGeeks at Palm's request.

I have 02 sms installed and it works with the pcm keyboard. The send box moves up when sending a message so, you can see what your texting! The problem is o2 give me an error saying the phone is turn off while trying to send. I have no clue how to fix it but, i think the developer should implement it to the palm threaded.

I saw the same thing when I installed that one but am having the same issue with it. I really think that the Palm threaded SMS just needs to be revised.

This is the problem... someone has to go do that, but instead of "11" change it to "3"

Quote:
Used IDA to decompile it. Found this reg key:
HKLM\System\State\Phone
"Radio Ready State"

The software, since it is from O2, is expecting a "GSM ready" value of "17" while "CDMA Ready" is "11"

So I found the code location in IDA after a little tracing. Opened it in a hex editor and changed code location 00016B8C from "0F" to "0B"

Signed the code using signcode since the signature was now invalid, rebuilt the .cab with the updated .exe, a little testing/playing, zipped it up, and there you have it.

Easier than pie.

SMS Chat - Threaded SMS For Nokia Eseries

It isn't made for Windows Mobile but maybe it can be edited or customized or a similar app made for Windows Mobile?

The biggest problem isn't the keyboard but the many bugs. The app needs to be rewritten for non-Palm, WM6 devices.

PocketCM has threaded SMS and does it a different way. It just threads the texts that you have in your Windows Messaging folder. It's basically bug-free but it can't intercept the new texts and notify you like the Palm app does. PCM just lets Windows notify you.

So many threaded SMS apps, each with their own unique bugs and limitations.

Well it seems like there is an overwhelming number of people interested in this project, now if only we could find someone willing to take it on. I know I as well as some others would be willing to donate to the project.

So... **NOTE to potential developer** You would receive payment at least in th form of donations.

Now, all we really need is someone who can either re-write the application for a non-palm device or even specific to th Vogue, OR, write a whole new application to go with the Touch style that looks so nice.

Come on guys... There's gotta be a software developer out there somewhere interested...
