What GPS unit is it? If it is a Blutooth GPS receiver you should have no problems... I think.

Probably another silly question, but what are the main advantages of connecting a GPS to my phone? I have the exact same model of GPS unit.

I assume real-time traffic updates would be the main advantage. Updating maps would be a plus, but I imagine that wouldn't need to be done very often.

I think you can pair vehicular GPS units to your phone, but the only thing that it would do is allow you hands free hands calling, etc. I don't know what TOM TOM PLUS is, but that description says you can access it by pairing your phone.

If you want your phone to read navigation data by pairing with this GPS receiver, I don't think it can be done.

What exactly are you looking for here?

Yes, I've got TomTom Navigator running on my Touch, using a $50 bluetooth GPS receiver. Great for navigating, and it's always with me, so it doesn't matter if I'm in my car or a friends car. My GPS receiver is the GlobalTop G33, it's the size of a Zippo lighter, and so sensitive you don't need to mount it to a windshield to use it, mine tracks just fine inside my jacket pocket. It's so sensitive it kept track of my location even inside my local Wal-Mart, and it's good for 20 hours with a full charge.
