You have to browse to the photo in file explorer and click the option to set it as a background. If you try to set it as a background through settings>today there is no option for opacity.

Still need help
OK I must be missing something.
I go to the file through file explorer. I highlight the file name and push down on the file. I get a menu pop up that offers... Cut Copy Rename Delete Send Beam File Set as Today Background Print via Bluetooth So when I select "Set as Today Background" the pop up menu disappears. The picture is now the background on the Today screen, but is transparent. Where was the opacity setting option supposed to be? Like I said I did this before, but for some reason I'm having trouble now |

Figured It Out
I figured out that you have to go in through the "Pictures Video" program in order to get the option for the transparency setting. Neither the regular file explorer, nor the Settings, Today options for setting a background image give you the transparency option.
