worked perfectly thanks so much! I have been looking for this. =D>

The only thing I do notice is there is not much of a range now. It goes from high to maybe medium. But I can deal with that, no need to go whisper quiet anyway.

By the way I used resco to overwrite mine.

Well damn... any such a fix for the 6700?

I don't think this scheme existed on the 6700 with WM5 any way (but it may exist in a different form). Not sure about WM6 on 6700's though.

i simply edited the coarse file that was already posted to be more compatible with the touch and it worked..

use it at your own risk!!!!!

Do you know if the Blue Tooth changes are in this as well?

i tried movingit but it gave me this error

cannot move 'audiopara': access is denied. be certain that there is enough free storage memory, that the destinatino is not write-protected and that the fileis not currently in use.

any ideas??

I got that when I tried copying over it via ActiveSync. Had to access the file properties with Resco Explorer and uncheck read-only, system and hidden. Then copied and pasted in the file, which gave me the overwrite popup.

As others have said, total commander would work too. Unfortunately the regular file explorer lets you see hidden files but not edit their properties. Not sure if ActiveSync dialog will.

I wrote the orginal files on PdaPhoneHome and tried to adjust Bluetooth on mogul and tried to as well on the touch with no luck.

maybe i did this wrong, but i notice no difference at all :(

I didn't notice much of a difference either. I still find it difficult to hear the earpiece on my touch in any type of background noise. Certainly my only complaint about the device.

did you notice any difference in your ear piece and speaker volume? i notice it is a bit louder, but kind of distorted.

That's exactly what I found on the touch and why I never bothered releasing it for the touch. It is definitely different and it is louder but not any easier to understand because it distorts to much. But some folks may find it useful (especially if using it in a real noisy area). This is why on the original mogul one I gave a choice of "fine" or "coarse". Fine let's you choose exactly the trade-off of loudness vs distortion. Where as coarse maintained a wide volume range; you could not have both.
