Just to let others know, the iCube is confirmed working on the HTC TyTN and the Bell Touch!

I wanted to use the "hubvideos" icon for my SlingPlayer and when I change it to "hubvideos.brn" it shows no icon after a soft reset. It just shows the text and nothing for the picture. Am I doing something wrong?

are you using the Cube Config Program?

make sure the IconPath is \My Documents\iCube\Icons\hubvideos.brn

I was changing it in PHM actually. Which cube config program are you referring to?

I have confirmed the iCube works on the Tilt with the Mogul files and the CustAPLauncher file. A lot of the buttons don't work right after install, but a quick remapping in the registry and all is good.

I also used the HTC Cube program from xda that I knew worked with the tilt before installing iCube.

There is no hubvideos.brn...only hubvideos.bmp. How do I get my hands on hubvideos.brn? Is there an easy way to convert it from .bmp?

Photoshop? I could help. It would be great if you could get me the individual files though. And tell me specifically what you want done.

Okay you brave souls, it's time to test a new iCube CAB!

If all goes according to plan this will reskin your QuickDial, skin your Media Hub, put a new background behind your existing APLauncher, and Add a 4th side with 12 buttons!

I've cut down on size quite a bit, too. This one is under 5MB.

Try it and report back ASAP!

And for all you Mogul owners who want some iCube action, here's what you should try (and then get back to me).

Install this cab:

Soft reset, make sure the Touch Flo Cube is Working, then install the CAB attached.

thanks for putting this out for us mogul users. I started fresh on my mogul and did a backup and a hard reset. installed xplode cube then your mogul file. it has all four sides except the contact side and the three button side are all still stock. the other sides are icube. when I go to cube settings it asks if htc touchflo is installed. any suggestions?

is this something I can do or is this all the stuff that I have already tested?

The Mogul stuff is just what you did, bigknoxy. Unless you'd like to provide a step-by-step of what exactly you did when you installed Kona's Cube?

Is it possible to to change the background to all black?

Yes, it is. Sorry. I've been working with people trying to get just the V1.11 iCube working on different phones that I haven't really had any time to mess with the graphics. Plus this weekend is going to be very busy for me. Hopefully I can find the time to mess with some stuff next week. I'd like to make a plain black background and also a Classic iCube.

I'll also be starting a thread on this forum for custom QuickDial Screens (just like the Icons thread).

In the meantime, you can change your _CF icons to the normal icons and get the Launcher screens to have black backgrounds. Just delete the _CF from the IconPath and IconPressPath. The solid black icons are already there.

Any pLans on a config tool for it.. i am too scared to play with reg keys..

Version 1.1 of the iCube? It has 4 sides for you? And you're on a GSM Touch?

Im half asleep. I went back to 1.1 on my sprint touch. I guess I screwed up trying the GSM touch version eh? You can dress me up, but you cant take me out.

4th Side missing
 

Great skin i must say. Tried installing it on my unbranded HTC Touch purchased from the UK but I can't get to the 4th side of the cube. Do I need a modified APLauncher as well?

can anyone post a youtube of the icube in action? i dont own a touch yet, but will be getting one for xmas. i love everything i keep readin about this app....just never owned a pda before. HTC Dash has been it for me...anyway, id love to see a youtube of this bad boy in action!!!

I've done quite a bit of searching and couldn't seem to find a question or answer to this...is it possible to add another side (or two or three) to the iCube? I was using the VistaCube and really liked having 6 sides...but obviously the compactness of this layout offers me fewer swipes to get to the right aps and if I can add another side or two I could pretty much leave the WinOS in the background and NEVER see it again!!

Does anyone have a version of iCube with more sides? Or...what would be involved if I wanted to venture into the project on my own? Is it a matter of copying CustomApLauncher and the reg keys to a new CustomApLaunch2 or was there some hard coding in the CAL2 that would make this impossible (well, impossible for feeb like me).

Still no luck :( Installed the cab for version 1.10. Don't get the 4th side nor do i see any change in the 3x2 page layout. I even tried renaming APLauncher.exe to CustAPLauncher.exe. What goes change is the theme on the callerID screen and the 3x1 icon page.

My device has the default HTC Touch settings. No branding.

i have the 1.11, which i believe is the most updated version.

i've been having my e-mail forwarded to a hotmail account which then syncs with Windows Live E-mail...

For some reason, my mail icon has dissapeared. it happened before, so I reinstalled the cube... then it was back.

It just dissapeared again. The "button" is still there... so i can click the empty space...

Is this possibly like a "you have mail" icon that is missing from my icube file? Or something.. I haven't been able to figure out when it dissapears.
