It sounds great!

I just got mine. I tested it and without the reg hacks it sounds great already, but with the hacks even better!

Is the second (stereo) earpiece removable? And if it does, does that leave just the ear plug to hold it in? I might be interested in something like this.

Not really, BTW its the only A2DP headset that isnt obnoxiosly geeky.
Its smaller than you think and its black, not to much of it to look at.

Though when you slide the boom mic out, yeah it looks it very much.

I have it and I love it. You can use the wireless stereo mode with or with out the extra earpiece. When the earpiece is removed, they supply two different size ear clips (looks the same as the attachment but without the cord) to hold the headset securely. Also, the headset will stay in on its own if you a driving in a car, just not running. I haven't had a single problem with it. The music controls work very well.

Voyager 855 and the Touch

Just got the 855 and by far I prefer it to the styles of the other stereo sets I've seen. I can live with the low voice call volume but I'm experiencing a good amount of static when playing music. It's so noticable that when I'm listening to music all I'm paying attention to is the static.

Is this something with the Alltel Touch that can be tweaked or possibly a bad headset? Other reviews say the 855 is excellent quality sound so I'm wondering. During a call the sound is fine but mostly high tones cause crackles and noise in the background. Very annoying.

I also have a rough time with my call-end button on the phone sometime not registering when I pressed so I'm thinking of a machine swap since its under 30 days.

855 echo

When I use the 855 with my touch i hear audio from my microphone as well as the far end (not really echo just amplified surroundings), is there any settings in wm or other that can eliminate this?

i'm pretty sure that is a feature to give you a more "realistic" sound like a regular old pots line and home phone.

I wish I could turn it down just a little. It only becomes annoying when the other person is in a noisy area and I speak louder so they can hear me better. (its like speaking right into my ear)
