Are there different manufacture dates for the Touch?
 

I was just curious - I know the mogul had different manufacture dates - not sure about the Touch.

10/29 for me, and I have heard of 10/28 as well...others?

I must be dumb... can't find the date? Where is it? I checked About and Device Info and nothing...

Maybe I'm blind?

wow, 6 different dates allready. i wonder if there is any differences between the makes? i guess even though the dates are different the builds should be the same. right?

Everything should be the same, the dates seem to be close enough to account for mass production.

10/31/2007 on mine... (I've got the internal rattle, too - so lucky!)

I do feel statistically early batch have more defects, then the manufacturer will improve either the model or other stuff based on the feedback.

Mine was from 10/27/07. I have waterwave on the LCD screen when I press it (supposed to be a touch screen), though I do not have any lockup on sleep mode and stuff.

10/6 for me, only problem i've experienced is that after i hard reset my phonemy evdo doesnt conncet to the network and i have to call sprint.

I have to do that every time I hard reset or get a new phone. It's really friggin irritating. I wonder if it has something to do with my SERO plan. :/

i get the employee discount, does that count as SERO? yeah, it's starting to get annoying since i hard reset quite a bit (i install all sorts of things). what does tech support do for you to get it working?

I'm not sure. They usually have to reset my provisioning.

Last time, they accidentally took EVDO off my account when they activated my Touch, so I had to talk to 5 different stupid techs until someone finally figured that out, then it was fixed.

Cicatrize - I can't say for sure but I agree it is most likely with Sprint provisioning your phone properly, not to do with the Touch - I had a similar issue with the 6700 (a long time ago) took 4 calls before I found someone who knew enough to look at the right code to get it provisioned properly. Strangeley enough the code was something like EVDO - but who would think of looking there on the screen :)

Well, all my other problems were actually with my Mogul. With my Touch, they just screwed up and took off the EVDO from my account, so they had to add it back on, and it worked perfectly.
