(Alltel) Large Status Bar Callout Bubble

Somewhere there is a couple regedits to make it where "sprint" can't see that your tethered. But since the new aproach being discussed is to limit "vision data" to 5gb, this hack won't help that. Since what you send and receive, is still "vision data". Whether it is tethered or using your phone's browser....

The Alltel ROM includes a "feature" where when you click on anything in the status bar at the top like the signal strength meter or the battery life indicator, this large, honkin', blue callout bubble appears and it's annoying as f**k!

Sometimes all I want to do is respond to an alert for a new message or voicemail, and that damned callout bubble pops up instead!

Anyone who can help with this gets mad props.

*EDIT: Nevermind--I forgot the program is called HTC Large Title Bar and this is how to disable it:

If you have included this in a ROM build but now want to remove it, you cannot just un-install the cab as it doesn't exist.

Delete the following registry key: \HKLM\Services\LargeTitleBar

Soft reset.

Done.

I found it was disabling my power icon from opening the power control panel applet and was a pain in the proverbial. There was no info on the web to tell me how to disable so I had to figure it out.

I thought you were on target with the original diagnosis but after he posted i realize what he was talking about. also the cap doesnt apply to ppc users. i have made a .cab that you can install an follow the same instructions as all my other cabs and it will disable the multi nai which will let you tether without getting the tethering charge. if anyone wants the hack just post here or pm me and ill post it up here. also when you post please say which device you are using. i made one hack from my mogul and one hack from my touch. the keys looked different so i made too just in case the keys were truly different.

SBR would you mind cabbing this up for me?

Disable End Key DELAY

HKLM/Software/HTC/PHONE/
PhoneExtendSetting <<-- ADD key
ADD dword EndCallTime
value = 0 (no delay)

TIA friend!

And a link to a cab file for this regedit.
A semi-sloppy cut n paste job from another post, but the link has the cab file already.
