i done alot of font changing, Any reg entries i can check or change to make all font back to default or at least take bold off for my sms

Would you mind elaborating on what "that" is? Are you referring to the camera picture filenames?
I did find that if DCIM was disabled, you could do date/time as the filename on the storage card. Unfortunately, I don't like \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures\filename.jpg.

Is there a way to change the GREEN key on the Vogue. I installed iDialer and I want the green key to use that program instead of the default.

Also I love the idialer and icontacts, the way they look on the screen. Is there a change that is similar to that for the home screen?

I have been looking for a while now so sorry in advance if this is somewhere else.

Don't know if this was metioned yet:

WM6.1 has a conversation stlye for SMS "Text" messaging.
WM6.0 has a one sided view.

Create the following registry:

To have it have a one sided look (WM6.0):

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s\OEM]

To have it have a one conversation stlye (WM6.1):

If I'm not mistaken, Winmo 6.0 is unable to have the threaded text messages, I could be wrong on that tho, but I'm pretty sure...


If the hack was acheived via .cab install, then simply go to remove programs, and remove said hack, but if you literally edited your registry, you'll need to revert said registry to the previous values, or back up all your data and do a hard reset.

Does anyone know how I can add two softkeys to my HTC Touch Pro while in landscape mode, seems like the soft keys are not there.

I have soft keys while in portrait mode.

There is some sort of noise cancellation technology that seems to kick in when using a headset (wired or Bluetooth). It causes the first part of your words to be cut off if there was a sufficient pause. It seems to detect noise and mutes the mic when you are not speaking. This causes the person you are talking with to continually say "what?". It is so bad that I rarely use a headset and it is driving me crazy.

There must be a regedit or something I can do to disable that. Does any have an idea? Or at least something I should search for in the registry? I've done as much as I can on my own - I don't like asking for help, but am out of ideas. ;)

BTW, I'm using the Verizon HTC Touch.

There isn't anything I've ever found about noise cancelling, registry or not. If anything, I would suspect the headset(s) involved.

Does anyone know of a Tweak or Program that allows the today screen and everything else be in the Potrait mode but you Arcsoft messaging be in Landscape? I find the Keyboard much easier to use in this mode.

I tried searching this but didn't find a thing... is there a reg edit to allow you to turn the volume on the Vouge to "Alarm Only" ... i.e. I'm asleep and don't want scheduling from work or a drunk friend waking me, but I do want my alarm to sound? I'm sure its out there... just can't find it right now.

No reg edit needed.Just turn off the radio.Hold down the end button and you will turn it off.Then you can crank the volume and set the alarm and you won't get calls or messages until you turn the radio back on. Or go to commanager and put your phone in airplane mode. Same thing. :)

Hi I have a couple questions regarding this. First I made the registry edit but it has made no difference to the file names, any ideas? And second, I also set the DCIM registry setting to zero to change the storage location to My Pictures folder on the storage card, but it broke the connection to the Photo Album tab in touchflo. Where can I set the new Photo Album location either in settings or registry?

There might be a way to do this if you extracted the files and edited them with a text editor but prolly a lot of work. I would suggest you look for another messaging app that will give you the info you want.

I really don't think it is possible to change any of the text that appears in any of the message/notification boxes unless you actually rewrite the code in the notifications part of the OS. I suggest you look for an alternative application that may give you the messages/notifications that you are looking for. :)

You are correct, Sir. There is no way to change the pop up text without rewriting the code. You can disable them or enable them with reg hacks and that's about it.

Next we are going to take a small inert file on our device and rename it to HTC_CM_Guardian.exe and then move it to the \device\windows folder on our touch and confirm overwrite (use Resco or similar to overwrite) so the real HTC_cm_guardian won't start.

Soft reset


Now for the actual settings change to Speed up browsing with OpenDNS:

Go to Start>Settings>Connections>Manage existing connections

Select SprintPCS, then Edit...

Hit Next and Next again, then click Advanced...

Under Servers tab select Use specific server address

Enter the following:

DNS: 208.67.222.222

Alt DNS: 208.67.220.220

Hit OK then Finish

Soft reset

When you first reconnect to the internet it will ask you for name\pass......well just leave the name and pass blank and check the box to remember.



Next are a few other Edits that I got from another website and they seem to have made a very noticeable difference, without any side effects for me.
The first ones are just changed values and then the others you create an entry, just "create a new DWORD value"

In the following directory create all 3 DWORD values

HKLM\Comm\Tcpip\Parms\
Tcp1323Opts = dword: 1 (O before pts is the capital letter o)
TcpMaxDupAcks = dword: 2
EnablePMTUDiscovery = dword: 1


I know this is a year and a half old post, but I just found it. I have Verizon and am running Vin's 6.5 ROM. I cannot find the HTC_CM_Guardian.exe file anywhere. I have the settings to "show all files", so I know that nothing is hidden.

Well, if Vin included it in his ROM it would be in the main Windows folder. He may have not included it because basically it continually resets certain carrier specific items back to shipped settings. Ask Vin if he included it. ;)
Also, this hack was basically busted if you read the posts that follow the original poster of this hack in this thread. Some of these reg edits may have been already done by Vin in his ROM. Use your reg editor to find out.

I found these myself today while digging thru my phone. Instead of creating my own thread, I searched, found this thread, thanked you, quoted you then subscribed.

I know anyone with Verizon also may have these disabled. So instead of just killing them, this may help some one enable/disable what they need. I'm unsure of any other carriers or ROMs, yet.

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this but I am using the "sprint lovers rom" and my phone automatically goes into flight/airplane mode on startup. is there a reg entry to change this?

I suggest you ask your rom chef if it has always done this. If it just started then maybe it was something you just installed. You might need to hard reset or re-flash. Plus you probably should post this in the tp2 forum. ;)

I hope someone can help me with this.: in the Settings ==> personal ==> phone ==> services , I only have call forwarding, call waiting and Message center. How can I add Celler ID and Barring ? Is there something I must add to the registry ?
