1 Create a new empty folder and drop RecMod.exe into that folder
2 CUT modules from kitchens sys BROWSING and paste them into your new created folder
3 drag and drop every pasted module into RecMod.exe and inside of every module you will find an actual .dll (or any other extention) with the same name as a name of module
4 CUT and PASTE actual dlls back into the kitchens BROWSING folder
5 delete everything from your new folder except RecMod.exe
6 Repeat the same steps with BROWSINGCORE,then browsingie, then Adobe Flash (if using),etc

Thanks Vinny! I'm actually out on the road right now so I will try when I get back home

... But just to clarify a couple things...
  • When you refer to a "module", you just mean everything in the paticular folder of the SYS, ie.. everything in the say .. BROWSING folder correct?
  • Once I put all that stuff, .dll's and everything else into a temp folder that also has RecMod.exe in it, simply run recmod and let it do it's thing
  • Then once it's done, recmodding, re-locking, or whatever other magic it does... then cut out ONLY the .dll files and put them back into the original BROWSING folder of the SYS?
I'm sure this will make more sense once I get back home and go through the process, but if I CUT everything out of the original BROWSING folder then only put back the .dll's ... what about all the other files that were in the BROWSING folder to begin with?

modules-folders with names like ***.dll,***.exe,***.mui etc, inside of module you will find
-imageinfo.bin,
-imageinfo.txt,
-S000
When you drag and drop module onto recmod.exe you will find 1 more file with the same name as a module.
I think this method might fix Windows Live Messanger.
Temp folder to work with we need just becouse you cannot overwrite file with module

Vinny i must say... WDM was right, YOU are the man! (so is he btw  )

Thanks for the prompt response!... now i just have to wait till late Sat or Sun when I make it back home to give it a try!! lol

When you recmodded that browsing stuff for me a while back, did you just pull the older files from the older SYS, recmod them and then re add them in the newer SYS file since something in the newer one wasn't working?

Also, do you happen to know the answer to the other question i posted about 23016 SYS and whether or not it's having the caller ID issue with the WM 6.5 stock lock screen?

I appreciate everyone who takes the time to post these updates! I'm currently running 23008 which runs well except a popup about biotouch every now and then. Is there any advantage to 23034 or other new updates or are they less stable?

The newer builds are horribly buggy. I recommend staying away from them. Last stable one I've used was 23016.
