I think I'll move over to 23016 and see if I can make it through the week without wanting to rebuild again. :) |

Re: [Updated 8/1/09] WM 6.5.1 SYS 21936 for PPCKitchen
Sorry, I'm still a noob to making my own ROMs. If I want to experiment with both 6.5 and 6.5.1 is there a way of copying all these files where they need to be at the same time or do I have to swap them out each time I want to go from 6.5 to 6.5.1? For example, I'm supposed to copy the Vogue_Core_6.5 to the Kitchens folder but if I already have that same file there, what do I do?

If 23016 is the same as 21501 do you know if it also has the lock screen caller ID bug? That was the main reason i left 21501, when the 6.5 lock was running and a call came through the caller ID only worked about half the time or less. This has not been an issue on 23004 and when i first started researching it, it wasn't an issue on the 212xx builds for the Diamond but those weren't available for the Vogue. ?? Thanks Newer and "stabler" is always "more better!" lol |

With all the diff SYS's comming out I am now wanting to learn how to recmod myself  I was wondering if you had posted, new of a really good tutorial on how to do this, or if you would post a step by step on how to do this ? I tried a long time ago to G'reloc some stuff back when I was using DogGuy's Kitchen (months and months ago) but never got it figured out. If i understood you a while back in a post to me, you said that recmod was a way around that, correct? To the best of my lay understanding at this point, this is needed once you have deleted/swapped out some files to get them "prepped" so the kitchen will play nice with them again, is that right? (be it ever so basic) Thanks! |

1 Create a new empty folder and drop RecMod.exe into that folder 2 CUT modules from kitchens sys BROWSING and paste them into your new created folder 3 drag and drop every pasted module into RecMod.exe and inside of every module you will find an actual .dll (or any other extention) with the same name as a name of module 4 CUT and PASTE actual dlls back into the kitchens BROWSING folder 5 delete everything from your new folder except RecMod.exe 6 Repeat the same steps with BROWSINGCORE,then browsingie, then Adobe Flash (if using),etc |
