It eliminates tons of problems.
Otherwise we'll have to wait to see what jtuite says.

Ah, no I haven't. I just flashed back to the the non-carrier specific one and I'm in the process of flashing to the Sprint version again.

If that doesn't work, I'll give the stock ROM option a try. Thanks!

//Edit: Flashing back to the non-carrier specific version and trying the Sprint version again worked. Not sure why it didn't work the first time, but it happens. Thanks again codybear.

Something I've noticed (at least with the Sprint build) is that tapping on the battery icon in the task bar does nothing. Not sure if this is by default, but normally it pulls up the "Power" option (Settings > System > Power) to give you a more detailed view of your battery %.

Mac,
Not yet, and I flashed the new 21725 build... same issue... I use System Seven for my email, but I never had this problem with other roms before.
Anybody?

Whats the name of the program or Plugin that makes the new 21725 Vogue ROM look better than the 21234 version.
I just dont like the splash screen of the new 21725 version.

I switched to this ROM from the NFSFAN 6.5 because it was eating my battery life real quick.

Good work.......

well i just flashed to your verizon ROM, i have to say that you stepped up with that one ;)
i have picture mail issues with the generic one, even after applying all the fixes, but this Verizon specific just worked.
the new splash screen was also a plus ;) good work

quick question guys: i want to remove the "email and internet explorer" tabs from my titanium screen because i don't use internet on the phone right now, what program do you guys use for that?

Going to flash the new version soon...the one with the sprint picture mail in it.

Is it a "sprint rom" or should do I need the carrier cab as well?

Edited to make it more readable - sorry was at work and typing fast as the thoughts came to my head.

Thanks for all the hard work jtuite, and putting up with my messages. I've finally got everything working, including GPS on my xv6900 running your 21725 ROM.

Just a note to all those having problems, I would advise you to do the fix as if you let Verizon customizations run, and then load up the Bell ROM for the radio upgrade, then your own customized ROM.

Doing this helped get my GPS working after hours of troubleshooting.

Also a note to those that have data connections which don't work, ensure you flash back to the VZ MR1 ROM, DON'T let customizations run, and then redo the unlocking steps. This is what I had to do when VZ tech support was unable to help.

What do you mean by this exactly? Those instructions are a little different then jtuite recommended. Also, I can't remember if you do a soft reset or hard reset to "not let customizations run"?

Edit: Figured it out to do a soft reset to "not let customizations run"

Re: Vogue 21234 Rom avaliable

So..what I've pretty much gathered is this:

Ground up get your xv6800 or xv6900 phone working with GPS

*NOTE! Dont let customization run anytime! This means when you see the dialog on the today screen, peroform a soft reset.

Run 40 Vogue_unlocker.exe
Run RUU_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_1.12.651.1_2.13.00_SPC_NV133_ Ship.exe
Run Vogue_unlocker_MFG_2.31.exe
Run RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship.ex e
Run _HTC Touch (Bell)_RUU_Vogue_BM_WWE_3.09.666.1_Radio3.42.50_Sh ip.exe (contains latest radio update 3.42.50)
Run **any custom ROM you want!**

-----For GPS-----
Install WModem Drivers
Install QPST 2.7

Put Serf Telus aGPS.cab on your phones storage card (for later use).

On your phone, dial ##3424# This will put your phone in diagnostics mode, and terminate your active sync connection. If this is the first time on the computer, let it install the device properly before moving forward. This is also why we installed the wmodem drivers, it lets your computer see your phone as an HTC USB hub for programming.

If the today screen popped up, go back to active programs (normally from the list button in the upper-right corner of the phone) and select the DRM program.
Start QPST Configuration.
Go to the ports tab and select to make a new port.
Find the usb connection, which should be your phone.
Select Start Clients from the menu bar and select "service programming"
Select Ok.
Now select read from phone, and select Ok using the default "000000"
Click Save as in order to make a backup of the orig config.
Navigate to the gpsone tab.
Ensure all checkboxes are marked on the left side, and enter the following server inforamtion:

PDE IP Address: 216.198.139.92
PDE Port Number: 8889
PDE Transport: IP
Position Calculation: PDE

Exit the DMR app on the phone and perform a soft reset.

Run Serf Telus aGPS.cab

Perform another soft reset.

I don't have links to all the software, but jtuite's first post has most of that covered. This just sums everything up. I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder, all of this information belongs to others who all deserve their credit.
