Re: SPRINT WM 6.5 Beta Rom (test) NON M2D. Clean version added
So far the ROM is really great, with a few exceptions:
1) Exchange INBOX seems to have issues. I can send, but sometimes that takes a few hours. SEVEN works fine. 2) Missing large start menu/notifications or equivalent. 3) I wish there was a better way of organizing my programs than just "move to top." 4) GPS seems a lot less sensitive and slow TTL. Texting, phone calls, PIM Backup, everything else seems to work great. It's missing a bit of stuff that other ROMs tend to have it them, but otherwise great. I love that I am using only 58% RAM, compared to the same exact setup on an IOLite ROM, that would have 70+ Does anyone have Exchange working flawlessly? I had to register a certificate through WMDC/Vista, which worked without a hitch, but it seems that I am having issues getting the emails in my inbox. One thing I did notice, that was kind of annoying, was when I had to select check boxes in PIMBackup 2.8. Instead of just checked, and not checked, there were circle/dot, square/dot, square/dot/greyed, circle/dot/greyed, circle/empty, square/empty, man the list goes on. The tree of selections DID NOT seem to add up to any logical patter with the circle/square/grey patterns.. I just guessed. It ended up trying to restore everything, as if my selections didn't matter anyways... Last edited by ScrapMaker; 03-26-2009 at 09:20 AM. |

Re: SPRINT WM 6.5 Beta Rom (test) NON M2D. Clean version added
I did just have one huge issue, I'm not sure if it was a result of something I installed or not doing a hard reset after flashing... My phone was pretty much useless, couldn't get into email or messaging and any app I tried to run would hang. After doing a hard reset it seems to be working fine again exchange included.

Re: SPRINT WM 6.5 Beta Rom (test) NON M2D. Clean version added
I just flashed this ROM last night and have been playing around with it and I like it so far. One issue I've found is with Pictures & Videos / Options. When I go to the "Camera" or "Video" tabs theres nothing showing just pieces of the background from General or Slide Show settings. There is a check box but no text listed so I'm not sure what the option was supposed to be. So far everything else is working for me. I've been waiting for a Sprint 6.5 Rom that worked for me and this one is great!

Re: SPRINT WM 6.5 Beta Rom (test) NON M2D. Clean version added
HOW TO FOR VZW USERS
This will be updated as I discover more. This has all been done using the clean rom as I had many issues with the other. What worked on a fresh flash 1. Voice 2. Data 3. SMS 4. All hardware GPS 1. This is assuming you have already done the agps hack 2. Dial *228 and choose option 1 3. Soft reset the phone 4. Open your favorite gps app and you should have a lock within 30 seconds. (if that does not work make sure you have location on in the phone settings. Also make sure that under gps settings you have the baud rate set to 4800 and the com port set to 4) If it still does not work check the following reg settings [HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL GPS] \EnableAGPS = 1 \EnableSmartMode = 1 \GPSMode = 4 (should also work as 2) \NumberFixes = 999999999 \QoSAccuracy = 50 \QoSPerformance = 89 \ServerIP = 195.207.101.126 \ServerPort = 7788 \timeBetweenFixes = 1 MMS 1. Go to connection settings and select "Manage existing connections" 2. edit the only connection there 3. Name it whatever you want ie "vzw" 4. hit next and enter #777 as the number 5. hit next and put "your10digitnumber@vzw3g.com" and "vzw" as the password 6. hit finish 7. install the attached arcsoft cab 8. do a soft reset. 9. open phmregedit in the start menu 10. navigate to HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcsoftMMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader\X-VzW-MDN and put your 10 digit phone number for the value 11. wait a min or two and do a soft reset 12. go into messaging select menu and then mms options 13. select the server tab 14. select verizon wireless and change connect via to "the internet", the other settings should be correct. 15. wait a few min and perform a soft reset once more 16. now mms should work!!! Still to come 1. Exchange Issues 2. Anything Else? If you have any questions just ask. Last edited by 1loudsvt; 03-26-2009 at 03:20 PM. |
