I am running tomtom 7 on my touch with no issue. An i am running the 6.5 rom

Understood, I have a garmin nuvi 255W and Im sure it would be fine - the issue was originally utilizing Google Maps, MS Live and TeleNav internally on the phone as part of the ROM itself - and it was found it works, just the sensitivity is far less as I must now be outside or right up against the window directly to gain a lock

I have no doubts external units will run without issue but the idea is to test internal apps as well and hence the report

ahh OK - assumed TomTom, Garmin, ETC all utilized bluetooth to connect to an external unit or SD adapter

never worried too much about the "hows" it works as I have my phone with GPS and an External unit as well and use either as needed and never noticed a need to connect the two so I never looked into the details fully

T morris, I usually ahve a routine in the morning when I ride the train and my observations around the battery are:

• the battery life itself did not appear to diminish at all (same % as before)

• Battery was unusually warmer than usual without GPS.

I also noticed that the Icontacts did not display numbers when using the quick search feature I agree that having the long push option would be good to have.

guys - i am really hooked onto this ROM - loving new winmo 6.5 more than manillla... the speeds are awesome, love the new looks... cool feature of displaying contact photo with the text message in the plugin is awesome...

just this one thing - weather tab - can anyone pls post a link to get the titanium plugin working on this with the launcher
and also a proper CDMA dialer - new dialer is cool but i miss my CDMA dialer...

Vin - is it possible to get a base ROM without icontact, that is my only piece software i don't use and dont have much love for.. otherwise i would probably cook a ROM with exactly everything else you have added...

Ah,damn.I just cooked rom for veryzon and its all messed up.
In verizon carriers folder 5 mxips.in sprint 3 mxips.
deleting override_VZW.dll didnt helped. and I cannot find thid entry in mxips...
For now is sprint only.sorry.
Try to remove sprint stuff and install vzwdcd.cab.

if you have just the base rom for ppckitchen i believe i can get gps and mms working. battery life for me is better than with 6.1 so that is not an issue. if you would like we can take this to pm i have places you could upload just the base rom. i would gladly play with it and try to fix any of the bugs.

just uploaded clean version,no sprint applications.Drellisdee,Conflipper is a major 6.5 developers,not me.its their product and hard work.
all i did is a touchups.
I think they must decide when to release files to the public .-not me.
lets help them with the fixes
