Updated 2/25 Unofficial PPCK Build Updates 20954, 210xx, 21015, 21018

Many people have been asking for me to share my kitchens as I use PPCK. I have made an "unofficial PPCK update". This is just a drop in and ready to build as its already packaged PPCK style. 210xx and 21015 are very fast.

Supported CDMA Devices:
Vogue
Titan
Herman/Touch Pro
Apache
Victor/Diamond

Sys available:
20954
210xx
21015
21018 (please redownload appropriate device core as its updated for 21018 )

Directions:
Download the device rar and extract the main rar ie (vogue.rar). Example for vogue follows: Place the Vogue_Core_Drellisdee unextracted into the PPCK kitchens folder. Place the Vogue_WM6.1_Drellisdee into the devicebases folder in projects/groups folder in PPCK. Download the sys of your choice and extract the main rar and place the Sys rars (unextracted) into the PPCK kitchen folder. The txt files go into projects/groups buildbase folder. Start BuildOS and enjoy!!!

Note on herman: I use the vzw payload and the ppck pagepool changer does not work. Use a hex editor on ruu_signed.nbh after cooking prior to flashing and search for string 03 15 A0 03 . XVI32 is a free one. TUT is found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=50754&highlight=change+page+pro

Ignore the first string of 03 15 A0 03 and change the 2nd string ie. 06 15 A0 03 will give you a 24mb dynamic PP.

Thanks: gguruusa & ervius
Thanks: conflipper for 21018

Not an indicator its just an icon. It will display that always regardless of rev0 or revA. I have been unable to get the indicator to light on vogue or titan for vzw. Also, what build did you use? I have had I unconfirmed report of stuck at 2nd splash on titan and is possbile I messed up a xip as I made these while sitting at the hospital for 3 days waiting for my wife to come home from having a baby :P

Apache core coming soon. I test booted all 3 sys & apache xips sucessfully and was impressed with the speed on such an old device.

Potentially stupid question (and apologies in advance if so) - are these SYS for QVGA or VGA devices? I'm thinking of playing with 21014 or 21015 for CDMA Touch Pro (VGA device).

Silly question but does this replace the sys;s that are already in PPCK? Or does this add more sys options?

SWEET!!!

Have another question for you.
I seen you posted and noticed FormerPAlmOS has some sweet sys's setup would it be possible for you to implement those into PPCK? I've been trying to do this for a week now have not had much time to do it but not much success either with the time I did have????

Thank you so much for the hard work.

Oh the PagePool changing issue is this something that can be fixed? I use sprint the VW is small for us

This is the newer sys. You can set the TP pagepool however you want just use the instructions and the tutorial from post 1.

The default search strings are in buildos_config.txt. While I discourage modification of buildos_config.txt (because you will lose your modifications when we push updates), feel free to add similar lines when necessary to kitchen bases.

We p***** on these as originals couldn't be located. That being said, we have no issue providing links to your basekits via Updater, if you'd like.

I'll look at your search string and get it added as a default for that device.

FYI, The VZW tpro has a different device name in PPCk from the rest.

sure you can link these via updater if you like and thanks again for the help. 21014 & 21015 seem to be 100% authentic with nothing more than a few sample pics removed. Source was a qvga CHS device for 21014 and a WVGA WWE device for 21015. 20954 is uncertain but seems to work well.

Apache running 21015 i like it so far fast except for slight pause on start menu when woken up. Installed audio manager from kitchen and am getting program could not be trusted? Ran into this with 755 and 931 with current build os so it might be gobal problem.

Thanx for these updates i had been jonesin for an update.

Instructions are in first post and downloads in 2nd. At the moment they are drop in updates and gguruusa mentioned a few posts back about linking these to updater but are manual download only from post #2 at the present time.

hey drellisdee thanks again for these and your roms that i have used in the past. Do you think you could make a base for the wm6.5 build that is floating around. i know its beta but it would be fun to play with.

currently no as greloc doesnt work on 6.5 builds. after some of the ppck team incorporates wmreloc which works on 6.5 that may be a possibility

Of course. Please also consider sharing any additional OEMs and your selections.txt (that way people can make their own adjustments and it's a lot smaller download). If you don't know how to package up your additional OEMs, just ask. If you made changes directly to the base....I'll be happy to teach you how not to do that, too.

This is the microsoft catalog I removed from the sys of 21015 made it an oem. When I run it a message pops up saying "MarketPlace: No Catalogs Found On Device". I wonder if this is the new microsoft marketplace we have heard about lately. Oem is attached if anyone wants to try to figure it out.

gguruusa Can you implement this reloc tool that works with WM6.5 into PPCK syntax is "WMReloc.exe -gtemp\dump"

Tutorial is here http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate...rUrl=Translate

Re: Unofficial PPCK Build Updates 20954, 210xx, 21015

Anyone know the difference between WMReloc and G'Reloc? Is WMReloc backwards-compatible with earlier builds? What doesn't G'Reloc do that WM6.5 requires?

And is the usage still the same?

1) Create dump directory using selected sys, and OEM
2) G'Reloc.exe -dump -doit
3) Build ROM

If there is a thread elsewhere that is more appropriate for this question, please direct me there.

Drellisdee

I built a rom for my Sprint Touch using 21015 build. I had 2 issues and I was not sure if it was the build or my Rom and was hoping you might help. I had used the Diamond keyboard oem in PPCK and after my flash I was unable to type anything on any of the diamond keyboards. They came up but was umable to type. The other thing was the backlight did not work.

Re: Unofficial PPCK Build Updates 20954, 210xx, 21015

Diamond KB oem is broken on newer releases so don't use it. Not sure on backlight as my backlight works fine on my vogue using 21015. The sys/xip is good just as always there may be oem conflicts with a new build. Unselect a few and try building again till you get a working one and try to narrow down the OEM that is causing it. Please post any known bad oems with these sys. I know the cambridge BT on Touch pro and possibly BT FTP and BT Print cause Pro roms to hang on splash with 20931 or higher. Can you add your selections.txt as an attachment?

Anyone had any issues with 21015 on Apache or Vogue with Bluetooth ActiveSync?

I currently have 19212 on my Vogue and can ActiveSync via Bluetooth fine, but my wife currently has 20931 on her Apache and lost that ability ... has anyone tried ActiveSyncing via Bluetooth with 21015 on either the Vogue or Appache? If so, does it work?

Do you know of a good working OEM for the diamond keyboard with this build.

FWIW I am using XIP 21015 and SYS 21015 on CDMA HTC Touch Pro (Verizon) and am able to ActiveSync over Bluetooth. The MS SYS files require an OEM BT driver - perhaps that driver may be incompatible with 21015 on Apache. If you could identify the BT hardware in the vogue or TP as the same in the Apache, you could try the BT driver from OEMDRIVERS package on one of those phones.

WMreloc is a replacement for g'reloc. Usage is a little different, but similar. It has it's own self-explanatory usage output.
