Well it might not just be Push Mail, some people have success using other push mail but Windows Live seems to mess things up. Some dont have this issue though but the main idea is that having an automatic data connection with other programs might cause this problem.

Try figuring out if anything else that you run is set to use a Data Connection Automatically, try to disable it or set it to manual, do a soft reset and test again. Might be a long shot for you but I know it worked for me. After doing about 5 hard resets after setting up my phone exactly how I wanted it, this became my solution. Very simple.

I have the Generic Custom (oxymoron) ROM on my VZW and installed ArcSoft MMS on it. Not sure if worked before I installed ArcSoft or not, but when I select "Mark All as Read" in SMS it opens up my MMS Configuration. Any way to reset that menu option?

Also...how can I get rid of the Quick Menu hardware button option? ...if I hold the d-pad to the left it brings up the QuickMenu, so I can't scroll to the left within text or other programs.

Not sure if it's ROM related or phone. But anyone having problems with battery life. I have the location set on for GPS but my battery life only runs to about 5 -6 hours coming from a fully charged battery in the morning.

I have noticed that as well... I used to only have to charge the phone once every other day or so

I bought a 2400 mah battery off a link found here, on ebay for like 11.99........don't have to worry about battery life no more.

Ok the holding left doesn't seem to be happening now, not sure what it was. I did notice that every once in a while after a soft reset (or if I drop the damn thing and the battery falls out) the device description (what shows up when connected via bluetooth) changes to WINDOWSMOBILE64 (I think that is the right number) is there somewhere to change that?

For those having GPS issues, I have found that if you cannot get a lock, power down & remove battery for a min.

not sure what to tell ya about the "mark all read" issue, sound slike a bug w/ ArcSoft, as it works fine on email & txt accounts.

The hardware button issue is not part of QM, it is AEBPlus (key mapping app), I have it set by default to left long press= start menu, right long press= ok/close. These can be changed/modified or removed in AEBPlus settings.

well there are always numerous factors when it comes to battery life...ie, gps usage, phone usage, signal strength.

I do have battery tweaks in the rom, but the only change I make post flash is disabling the LED's using nueLED.

I have 4 pop3 accounts that check every 30min + exchange push, lite phone calls, few texts, and my battery usually lasts 14-16 hrs.

I have never seen this, so I have no idea....but one suggestion....quit droppin yer phone, lol

How can I make this ROM not so sucky??? lol i'm just playing with ya OMJ. Wussup dude, been awhile since I tried your rom out for size since I've been busy with my own creation lol....now I know why y'all so tired all the time :)

now with Sprint and Verizon going to have HTC TOUCH D. with 400MHz CPU speed can we use the same ROM with xv6900?
