VZW AGPS Fixed at XDA
GC14 over at XDA came up with a fix for Verizon GPS Locks.
Link Here to original post I was looking at 5,10, 15 minute locks if I got any at all. I applied his newest QPST settings and am currently getting 10-15 sec locks every time. I took the battery out several times to start cold and it worked great every time. XV6900 Chef 3.02 Radio 3.42.30 PRI 1.37_002 |

Re: VZW AGPS Fixed at XDA
He's right. It's done over usb with QPST. The phone has to be put in programming mode to do it. Not even the custom roms or radio roms even touch this area when flashing, so it will most likely hold no matter how many times you flash radios and roms.

My registry settings are now set like this: HKLM\Software\HTC\SUPL AGPS\... ...EnableAGPS = 1 ...EnableGPSSmartMode = 1 ...EnablePDEIPFromNV = 1 ...GPSMode = 2 (not 4!!!!) ...ServerIP = 66.174.95.132 ...ServerPort = 8888 And after following gc14's QPST Tutorial, my first lock--indoors--using Garmin XT without any priming and without any previous GPS locks that day, took about 10 seconds for 4 satellites. About 20 seconds in, I had 8 satellites. Interestingly, on another Windows Mobile device (HP 210) using a Garmin Mobile 10 Bluetooth GPS (SiRFStar III chipset) in the same location, it took 3 minutes to lock onto 3 satellites, and that's the most locks I can get. |

Re: VZW AGPS Fixed at XDA
I have to recommend this fix for anyone on Verizon using GPS. Worked and amazing I now have 5-10 second locks with at least 7 satellites. Awesome - oh and he created a detailed VZW Wiki so just read that and there should be no confusion:
