This is the second beta for this project it should fix the dialer issue and maybe speen the rom up slightly

If you get back to me soon I can test depending on what it is that needs testing.........I just loaded the new bell rom about 10 times, hehehe, trying different configurations and programs, I am on Bell mobility and I got all day.

1. Boot is fine
2. Not sure how to tell, since theres no task manager
3. It's fast, little laggy on a couple windows though such as texts.
4. Understanding that its a test/beta, it's running nice. However even as a test rom a task manager is a must for me.

1. boot: boots fine, fast
2. memory: not sure which memory stats you want, but heres all the memory related info i can find with the task manager:

3. speed is alright.. not as fast as i expected, im gonna try a hard reset and see how everything is. right now its not as fast as your previous roms from your other thread
4. somehow i lost my contacts after soft reset, will try again after hard reset/dffferent restore option.
....i cant seem to open messaging, either tapping email lines on today screen, or through start/programs
....phone app is popping up every once in a while. installed the cab reg fix but it still is happening

i will try a hard reset and see if anything changes


edit: hard reset, used restore software that didnt require install, updated memory info.... speed is much better, messaging is fine. i think the backup/restore software was causing all the issues

ok I can fix the phone issue not a problem how is video playback .... also 2.99 is very high on the titan I'm running the same rom and it's between 1.97 - 2.01

using coreplayer mobile, video plays fine, smooth, great quality.. mediaplayer wont play avi files? idk if its supposed to be like this, but it gives me an error with both avi files on my phone
also with coreplayer.. the built-in youtube thing plays the videos fine (quality-wise: not so much, its streaming. but by fine i mean its smooth, not jumpy at all)

couple things, one led to the other...
1. i cant use my camera button.. i went to settings/buttons to set the 'press and hold' to screen rotate, and all i have is just 'button'. so i set that as screen rotate, and it didnt work, so i set it to messaging, still didnt work, so i gave up and set it back to camera, tried that, didnt work, which led to the next thing..
2. is the camera app still there? i went to 'pictures and video' and clicked the link for camera and it didnt open, neither did the camera softkey.

honestly I was waiting on someone to post about this seeing how I don't have a vogue in front of me yeah its there .... I just need to map the button I'm posting another beta now to address the speed and dialer issue so I'll work on the camera later as well

settings/buttons still only lists one button. cant get camera button to work, dont know if thats supposed to be fixed in this one tho, just mentioning,
memory is only 2.00

edit: this is not my screen shot. but neither of these links access camera, both the camera icon and left softkey within this application

another edit: phone dialer is fixed, not one popup

MUCH faster. with the last one, even opening calculator showed a waiting circle. now everything is instant, no waiting

i would love to test.. just one request... could you please incorporate HTC_SMS_Providers.dll and SMS_Providers.dll from alltels rom... with these new roms i'm unable to send unicode SMS ... the other side will get the message as _________ or ????? ??? ... can this be implemented??

wow.. it actually works.. this is the first WM6.1 ROM that unicode sms works.. thanks dude.. and it's one of the lightest roms ever..

Hey i've never ram any of your roms JD but i heard a lot of good about them. I was wondering, if i try your rom and install 20 apps or so that i use, do you think it will affect the speed of the rom compared to its speed right after the flash

that would affect the speed of ANY rom.... programs need memory, less memory=worse performance

working great all day! very fast even with everything installed! camera fix would be nice but not needed urgently... i hardly ever use my touch's camera anyways.. Keep it up JD and thanks for remembering us Vogue users!

this is a gps capable rom (aka you dont need to worry bout bricking if you're coming from a gps rom)

what exactly do you do to speed up? anything besides making it clean, changing pp, and reg values? id be extremely interested to know...

also, i know this is very early. but: no2chem's usb to pc thingy seems to be more user friendly and more capable, so maybe we could have that one instead of the usual. also, is there a reason that this rom isn't with the latest available build of wm?

just curious, and i know this is very early and im being picky but...just thought id throw that out there! and plz dont take offense at asking why we are on this build of wm...just wondering if theres somthing you know that we dont, or if you just used it just because or what.

it does indeed seem fast, but (in reference to other reports) there is a wait when opening the calculator (but i have yet to see a rom capable of immediately opening it up w/o a hitch on this or the 800w)

he has answered your questions about the build number in another post i cant remember which of his threads but from what i gathered is that 19208 is a more stable build of wm than the others being ported to our devices. which does make since if you clean up and tweak a ROM meant for our phones then it will be more stable and bug free than say a Touch Pro ROM on our devices.

Jak, this is what I got from this ROM.

Boot is really fast I barely had to wait.

Memory was at 2.25

All in all I like it, The one thing I had a problem with but was solved with 2 hard resets...was I had no internet. I tried several connection settings but the only thing that worked were the hard resets.

After I ran sprite restore my memory shot up to 33.70.

Very fast ROM though.

I'm trying the v2 of this rom.

It seems fast, 2.48MB, no issues with internet.

USBtoPC doesn't allow to connect as a dive. Only the activesync is available as an option. Does anyone know if there is a cab for no2chems usbtopc or at least the HTC usbtopc?

After a day of use with all of my normal programs loaded... This is still a very fast ROM. No noticeable problems.

Free............87.89MB..................68.07MB

Still very snappy and fast!!!!

what exactly is in this ROM. Is it just a tweaked OEM 3.03 or been stripped of anything and stuff added?

Id LOVE just a stock ROM stripped of: the cube (Touchflo left), all the Sprint crap like nav and whatever else junk programs comes with it.
