I recently hard reset and now the number format in my history is 1234567890 instead of
(123) 456-7890. Anyway of fixing that?

Also can you recommend a good dialer that has redial, smart dialing, and is similar in look to this one? I would prefer it to be a cdma dialer. I am also having the dialer issues.
Otherwise I really like this rom.

I didn't touch any of the bluetooth settings in any way. I just paired my car to my phone. That's all. I flashed to the latest Dette's ROM, and even did a hard reset a few times. Unfortunately the results were the same. The car's controls were pretty much useless.

1. Can't answer the calls through the car controls
2. Can't access the phone book through the car controls
3. An extreme delay or possible non function when I manually typed in a number to place directly from the car controls.
4. The bluetooth connection would sometimes disconnect while on a call (manually initiated from the phone directly)

I'd be more than happy to test out the new release 2.4 to see if the problem persists in that version if you like.

I tried the dialer that you linked to.
Something very interesting happened after I installed it. When I click on the email icon on the side of the envelope under the email tab, Touchflo closes. I had to remove windows live and the email account.
Do you have your dialer in a cab? From which dialer is yours built on and is it cdma?
I want to see if there is some setting in the original dialer that is getting activated and is creating the problems that peple are having.

its just the Opal Phonecanvas (google it.. )

Hey guys I been running this on my Touch lately. but how do i change that call screen, when i slide to answer it doesnt work it seems. and i keep sliding i have to press the talk button

I have the same issue with the sliding to answer.. seems like it's a recent problem.. been using this Rom since the 11/3 and other than this recent problem this has the been the best experience with this phone I've had... in fact my Diamond is arriving tomorrow and I'm a little worried that I'll be disapointed. With your rom this thing is fast and the battery life is about double that it is with the stock rom... Dette... any recommendations for custom roms for the diamond? Juicy is gonna be my first try most likely...

Oh yeah.. BTW thanks a ton for this rom Dette.. I was about ready to stomp and crush my vogue before this was installed

I recommend OMJ rom for the Diamond is just the best .. I tried them all, and on my Diamond it was the best, and yes Dette Rom on the Vogue is def the fastest with the best battery life indeed, i need to figure that sliding problem as well

I have a couple of problems after upgrading to this rom. The first is on the threaded text i can send a new text and reply to one that is sent but i cannot send on a chat thread. I get a text back saying " your msg could not be delivered because invalid destination account. By the way i am on sprint network.

The second problem is on weather page i only get current temp but nothing on hi, lo, or full week.

If anyone can help with this it would be great

I'm not running this ROM, but a fix for the answering issues in Vet's kitchen is to change:

HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings:

SuspendResume = #777

Just remember to wait 5 minutes before soft-resetting.

It is taking a bit because of that fact that my computer is having some problems...
Iv been messing with the OS a little just to make it a little better for myself..
Some how the XP part of my system has some Virus or issue and its slow as hell.. Once I figure that out and get my Dual boot set up I will devote my attention to building the ROM further ..
Its hard when my computer doesnt work haha and I dont have a laptop or anything at the moment (Looking into getting one so I can have another comp to work on I just cant find a good deal)

Great Rom. My only issues are that my photos and videos always says "no photo available" even after i've taken some, and clicking on the "internet" globe to launch browser doesnt do anything. Any way to correct these things?

Hey, Dette, any chance the next update will have a working version of Pandora? I know it's out for the Vogue now (see: http://www.pandora.com/on-windowsmobile), but I don't think it works on custom ROM's. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I've been an eager fan off your roms now for a while but tried another (I shouldn't have) because of the dialer issues.

After flashing to the latest OMJ rom I lost the ability to connect to activesync. If I load AS all I get is the "To synchronize your device with a desktop computer, install the synchonization software from the Getting Started Disc included with your device on your PC" message. It's like the USB connection is ompletely disabled.

In XP if I plug it in all I get is power..neither the PC (tried on three xp boxes) nor the phone see that there's an active connection.

I went into the tri-colored boot loader page and it won't connect to USB in there for flashing :(

I had to fall back on flashing back to your 2.3 rom using the microSD card.
I also tried the new Telus rom and updated the radio from 3.40 to 3.42 (or something like that)

I've also hard re-set the phone, uninstalled and re-installed active sync and tried different PC's.

I'm at the end of my rope. Any thoughts?

Start > Settings > Connections > USB to PC > Uncheck "Advanced Networking" box

When you go into the bootloader, just load up the ROM like you are going to flash it and trust me, it WILL work, but Windows will not tell you.

So just load up in tri-color bootloader and connect via USB to PC then load up the ROM you want to flash; it will work regardless of Windows settings.

@Nokry56 - I had that problem with Dette's ROM and other ROMs on my old Vogue, but if you click it, then dismiss, it may go away. If it doesn't, try soft reset :-) - it's only occasionally. You could even try calling your Voicemail again and hanging up; it may clear it or there is actually a button I thought that cleared notifications...

Ok...well now I'm not sure what the problem is.

I tried flashing before directly from the bootloader, and I tried diabling the advanced connection and all..and got nowhere.

Then just now, with Dette's rom loaded again, I plugged it into my wall charger and it asked if I wanted to mount the sd card or use activesync...so I tried that cable on my PC and worked.

I'd tried three other cables, each tested good with an external hard drive..and none of them worked...but aparently this one cable has the right mojo to get them talking.

I really think I might be done with windows mobile after this phone...we'll see what's out in six to ten months.

Sorry I havent been paying much attention to my thread! I was having major computer issues .. Just one after another..
So I can (hopefully) get back to answering questions and building 2.4! I had to take a break do to the lack of a working Windows OS and for a little bit the lack of any OS at all!

Yeah man it sucked...
Still does a little
On the upside I like my PC a little more now haha but still I lost a lot of stuff! I was only able to back up my music pics vids and ROM stuff and a couple ISO's
thats about it =\
and NO Im definitely not leaving people hanging for no good reason and I had a very good reason to haha
After everything is running the way it should I plan to devote attention to getting 2.4 out and fast! I want to get it out before I get a Touch Pro!(Still keeping my Touch.. I will still build for it)

MY Sympathy on the computer issue. I know what it is like.
Will you fix the time issues that this rom has in the new version such as the gps pulling time from the satellites instead of towers and sometimes randomly jumping to another time zone.
Also will you get the dialer working? I really like the dialer that comes with this rom
NSFAN's rom has this dialer and it seems to be working fine there ( His rom is not as stable as yours)
Could you leave s2u2 out and just make it an installable option?
It is probably what is causing the problem. Even after disabling it it still leaves all kinds of problems as can be seen in all the threads on the different roms.(NSFAN's rom does not have s2u2) Anyways great work.

Yes, Pandora does work on custom ROMs. The keyboard is the issue when you first sign on, but if switch to the START -> TODAY menu and switch back to PANDORA, the keyboard reappears.
