That is wierd... well I have cleaned up things much better now and have SYS and XIP build 20931 with a few more fixes/tweaks and that kitchen will be out tonight! :)

The theme may have to do with the provxml which I've fixed now...

the issue with CABs not installing can you describe more so I can tesk for it?

Also it will be helpful if you tell me what selections and/or modification you've made... :)

I made no modifications the first flash... When i went into file explorer and clicked on a cab in my storage card it like opens and closes .. cannot install anything what so ever..
When I try and connect to my computer it asks on the phone what I want to do obviously and I say activesync and then it just sits there and then it says sorry cannot connect

Is anyone having problems with getting hotmail acct. set up on this ROM, it just gives me a link to go to windows live, it won't set up. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like that works for me. I just answered 3/3 calls using the slider. I wonder if that also stops the data connection from dropping? On a side note, after changing that reg key, I could not see any values for the Settings key. Maybe a phmregedit bug? *shrug*

I'll test for a while to see if that also fixes the data connection bug.....

Edit: Running dette's 2.3, not you're kitchen. Couldn't get that to flash properly (posted in the thread @xda).

Edit2: Looks like my initial success was a red herring. It appears as if the data connection is stable, but I'm now at about 4/12 successfully answered calls. And I don't see any difference between the slider and the hard key, either.

Dette, great rom. this question maybe has been answered already or not. On the phone screen with the dialpad visible, how come the green "CALL" button below the dialpad isn't visible? When you enter the number manually then you can hit the "CALL" button. I know I can hit the green hard button, but there should also be the green soft "CALL" button below the dialpad.

I've seen on other smart dialers like PDG smartdial and Clean Dialer where you see the dialpad along with the green "CALL" button.

I wanna try out this rom, but I can't get the zip file for v. 2.3 to extract. It keeps saying that the file is either in an unknown format or damaged. Is the link still working?

Okay... I have NO IDEA how this happened, but I downloaded it again, for the 4th time... and it worked. It extracted just fine this time... hmm...

im having issues answering phone calls with the slider..it slides all the way but does not answer the phone call..its like the screen freezes but not quite because i can slide the slider back n forth but it still wont answer..help a brother out..plz


nevermind..im going to install dcds carrier rom and see if this helps..if not im going to try the regedit

Well this fixed the connection dropping and made my push E-Mail 100% again. I also noticed before I did this hitting the red key would instantly kill my data no matter what I was in or doing sometimes requiring a hard reset even to fix. This also fixed that completely. I haven't tested the ansering a call yet. If this fixes that then I am extremely happy with this ROM. Dette you made one awesome ROM I've been so impressed with everything else on it that I haven't even really cared about answering the call as much I'll put up with that cause this is that good. Thanks.

Yeah - the red hard button is the devil. It owns the data connection. I can switch to ActiveSync and hit "Sync" to restore it, though. Also, I think it can be re-enabled via CommManager.

But I'm pretty sure the #777 registry hack fixed my data connection as long as I don't hit the little red button. ;)

Ok, I just tried this rom and I love it!

I got it for the USB Flash Drive feature, and I kept it for it's stability, speed, and sooo much more...

Try the reg edit and install your DCD cab.. I still am not having problems answering.. god its so weird! its just because its GSM..

Haha I am glad you like it! AND I am glad that it fixed the data dropping! It fixed mine to but I noticed my battery dies A LOT faster.. and since I dont use push email other then Sprint Mobile Email app.. Anyways I will include this in the next release :)

I loved the look of this but had some/many issues perhaps because I've been a bit on the frustrated side lately not interested in any learning curve :-\.

I had no access to my Sprint Data; not sure why but didn't do all too much to remedy it. I would love Push Gmail if that's possible to automatically notify me on the phone. I really need phone calls/text messages to come through because I've been having gobs of issues lately with calls/messages not coming through at all or coming way later (respectively). It doesn't seem very intuitive in the Diamond interface to not be able to slide a finger across the screen to switch to the next one; apparently one must actually click the next button directly.

I just want all the functionality and more reliability that clearly my phone has not been giving. I just got a "new" phone free from Sprint (refurb ](*,)) because my other one was getting on my nerves too. I need to figure this stuff out because I really 1) need phone calls to ALWAYS come through and 2) I'm getting sick of the slow/junky WM6.1 Stock interface but I want to make sure it's worth my time to install the ROM again without worrying about more problems forcing me to reset AGAIN.

Well man I know how you feel!.. I really do.. But heres some answers...
If you didnt get Sprint data you didnt install your DCD carrier cab.. Simple as that.. That is how you get your data settings.
Download the software called Sprint Mobile Email to get your Gmail pushed to your phone (thats what I use... Works wonders).
I have never missed a text on this ROM.
Phone calls yes people have reported that.. Hopefully I can get that fixed!
And no you dont have to click each button.. Just hold down on the button of the tab that you are currently viewing and you can scroll threw all the tabs quick and easy :)
... Trust me I got tired of the WM 6.1 really really ****ed up interface too! Its really annoying .. So thats why I build ROM's to try and make it better :) I am happy with my phone for the most part. Just takes some tweaking and having fun with it to make it do what you really want it to do.

In general alot of people don't realize the amount of time it takes to make these ROM's not to mention completely run a thread with the best logical answers and fixes for the bugs and other issues PLAGUING the vogue. Your work is unparalleled on in this forum right now and there is very few people putting in the time and effort for us to all improve our devices. All I want to say is keep up the good work, oh and by the way i know what the green button is...lol anyways THANKS...

Kewl for those still experincing small delays could be performance also there is another DLL you may be missing I am attaching here just drop it in your Windows forlder and sorft reset

Hahaha thanks.. Yeah it does take a lot to uphold the Thread and just to build.. If theres an error you have to fix it before you can move on.. I am not using the PPCKitchen so there is no overwrite feature so I cant just click res overwrite this file.. I actually have to delete duplicates... Its work

Initial reaction is that it didn't help...I'll let you know after I test it some more (with different inbound lines, etc.)

The registry snapshot I took from WDM's 1.6 (which works) has that same value. After I changed that, though, PHM Regedit is having issues displaying that Settings key. I'll see if there's anything else around there which is different.

So unless it's some kind of fluke the registry edit seems to fix my ability to answer my phone as well. It doesn't seem like it's draining battery all that fast for me either. I know that not everyone's experience is going to always be the same but for me that registry fixed any and all problems I was having. If I could that M3Jorge like 20 times and dette about 30 times right now I definitely would. Hope everyone else gets there problems worked out as well. This ROM really is sweet when it is working to your liking.

keep it =), i changed the registry to see if it would work with the phone but no go =\, i been trying to figure out what it could be but cant seem to be able to get it. its only when the phone screen is off and a call comes in that the dialer lags. if you make a call hang up and a call comes in it answer instantly. everything else is beautyful though

I like the blue manilla theme it looks really tight ...IMO
and the manilla 2d dialer was pretty sweet as well...

Well it ssems active but it is suspended... meaning not using the radio but not dead so it can resume without having to reconnect (a costly porposition). should have minimal if any impact to your battery life unless you have a legacy program that does data trasmitions when it detect a connection... but that is the VERY OLD inneficient way of doing things :)

Also I believe have resolved all issues with my kitchen and have 20931 release ready just have to wait till I get home since at work they block all file sharing sites ](*,)

I'd agree that it *is* suspending. I haven't seen my battery drain any more than it did under previous ROMs. By all issues do you include the answering issue? What about the red hard button killing the data connection? Was that a bug or the desired behaviour? :)

I'll be charging my phone and refreshing until you get that new kitchen up, though. ;)

I'm pretty sure that agrees with my experience as well. If the phone is plugged in and not 'asleep', I think I have success answering 100% of the time.

That seems to be my findings as well however, when I use the same dialer in other ROMs it works just fine irregardless of power status... Not sure what it is specifically about the ROM that the dialer doesn't like. Could be as simple as a memory issues as the other ROMs I tried it with use up considerably less memory.

I tried to download/find it, but when I did find it, I got an error while installing. Mind sending me/us the jar/jad file(s) you use because I would love Push e-mail that notifies me.

UPDATE: I found MobileEmailSetup.cab on the internet (Sprint Mobile Email) and Touch Push Mail so if anyone wants them, let me know and I'll attach them.
This ROM is awesome :headbang: but it definitely does have a lot of stuff I do not need installed. Anyway to clear some stuff out?

hmmm that is quite strange.... I have been using it for a few days with no change in battery life... try a ROM with the 2nd release of the kitched I just uploaded and let me know if you still see battery life issues... :)
