Make sure your location settings are on and install shadow-tech's fix. if you dont wanna use the fix I would reccomend trying seasgee to prime your GPS. (attached .cab). I used it before I found shadows fix and it seemed to help.

Another option is Alltel Navigation. I dont know why but it locks on really fast with or without the fix. the attached file will give you a 30 day trial but after that its 10 bucks a month.

I ended up flashing to the latest Alltel ROM, unlocked, flashed to ConFlip's ROM and did the Shadow GPS update.

All is well and the GPS is uber-fast now.

You may want to update the link in post one to point to the latest official Alltel ROM release.

When I redid my phone last night, I used the latest ROM as it has an updated radio version.

From the HTC web site:

Adds the ability to use the internal GPS of the handset for advanced location services such as Alltel Navigation, an application that provides audible turn-by-turn directions and business listings.

stupid phone, well sad news guys, I drop my phone today and broke it, so for at least a few days development will be stopped. I did however already get a new one ordered and is coming in. So I will have a new one, but everything will be slowed down.

I've tried a different ROM, but yours was the 1st one I put on my phone and I really like it.

A few little tweaks on your rom (battery level percentage) and such and it'll be back on my vogue.

Got your shiney new phone in the mail yet con? I just warrantied mine a couple weeks ago. I had forgot how clear and bright the screen was without all those fine surface scratches on it.
