I'm getting ready to finally update my phone, after months of putting it off. If I backup the pim file in the root directory, is that all I need to retain my contacts? I just copy it back to the root directory once the upgrade is complete?

Anyone know how to back up my text messages?

HI i need some help i tried to update my rom and did something wrong i have no radio and i cant flash to any rom can anyone tell me how to flash to RUU_PPST_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_3.03.651.4_2_Radio_3.42. 30_AM_NV_2.04_Ship rom from the sd card it has 1.nbh and 2.nbh files witch one do i use when i tried the first time i think i did it wrong and now i have no radio i am on sprint network thanks

Go into bootloader and flash from that... Power + Camera + Reset hole with stylus will bring you into bootloader.. Then just plug into your computer.. Activesync will not connect.. Flash the Sprint ROM

i just updated my touch and now i cant use my phone as a modem? does anyone know why is that? is this a problem for everyone else also?

This is what I did, although I'm not positive it makes using PAM undetectable by Sprint, since there's no drop down menu in the Internet Sharing application to select "Sprint PCS" instead of "Phone as Modem" like there was in the WM 6.0 version.

1) Rename HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\isext.dll to isext_disable.dll

2) Change the value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings\F orceCellConnection from "Phone as Modem" to "Sprint PCS"

I read about (1) somewhere on here, but I'm just guessing that (2) does the same thing as selecting "Sprint PCS" on that drop down menu that's no longer available in Internet Sharing.

Yes 2 is the same as selecting Sprint PCS .. It is just setting it to always select that
