GPS Solution
Hi, I couldn't get the gps to work after updating to the new ROM no mather waht I did, soft resets, hard resets, etc. Then I found this program in another post in this forum GPS Viewer:
ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/dharv...0_2577.cab.zip Just install it and select COM4 and Open GPS let it run in the outside for about 2 min and when you see in GPS Status that it starts showing latitude and longitude then you can open Google Maps or the program you want to use without closing GPS Viewer and it should work. After doing that google maps works without using the GPS Viewer and locks in 10 to 15 seconds, I hope it works for the other people having problems. |

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
Does anyone have a link for the original rom that came with the touch?
I need to return a phone, and would like to flash it back to the original state. Thanks- |

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
Just flash the current Sprint ROM. It will be fine. Plus, the upgrade to 6.1 is a one-way street. It won't allow you to go back to WM6.

Wow, This is funny. 10 AM today I got a txt from Sprint announcing there is a WM6.1 upgrade available for my Touch. What is it? 2 months after the release? LOL!

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
Me 2,i was like wowww ,i thought it was something newer and kind of expected the manilla software or something ,they got me all excited for a min and then wasted my next 10mins making sure that it is indeed old news
but you gotta admit at least for me i am noticing some serious improvement in the customer service of sprint they are really trying i have four lines and had some phones replaced under warrant one under insurance and few Canadian calls and many thing that you would expect some major bill mess especially with the way sprint handle this stuff but surprisingly it was pretty accurate |

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
Stupid question Im sure... but if I had a custom rom with 6.1 with the gps update and all how do you load this stock rom? I tried everything last night and keep getting the wrong loader error. I am also using vista if that makes any difference and I also tried running it in admin mode to with no luck. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
I've one query regardin ROM update, might be possible it has already been discussed in a thread but my bad luck couldn't find the same, so found right place to get the real facts.
I'm using Touch Sprint (6900) with other operator and after unlock thru IM~Coke it's GPS is also working smooth. One of my friend has received an Okta Touch from NZ and it seems HTC has never publish a update for this. So my Question is if we load a Sprint Rom onto this then will it brick the Touch or every thing will work smooth. If it can brick the touch then any other solution update the ROM as well as work GPS. breg, s@n |

Re: Official HTC Touch Rom IS Here Folks!
Hey guys, I'm a noob when it comes to upgrading the phones and am using an XV6900 from Verizon. Can I upgrade my phone to this ROM and have it work on the Verizon network without issue? I have a feeling I can but I don't want to screw myself so I'm checking first.
Honestly I just want the f*cking GPS to work on this thing!! |
