Re: Official Telus HTC Touch Update Released

Hmm, it seems like a modified RUU as well that takes user input before updating. I have to "Press Any Number Key" before going to the next screen of the RUU. Cool.:)
This was on a Vogue with the Official Sprint Rom on it... but now on one that only had the Alltel Rom, it wasn't required!? Weird.

RevA_6900.arm(noUninstall).cab is the RevA file some people are looking for. You have to press Menu>Show All Files for it to be visible in File Explorer.

"Installing touchflo.xml"... 4th cube side?
ROM INFO (after previously having the Official Sprink Leaked Rom)
Code:

M 03      P DCAAXOM-4350H
B 01      R 3.41.00
          D 3.07

Software Version: 3.07.661.1
Firmware Version: 3.41.00
Hardware Version: 0001
PRI Version: 2.05_010

As said above, if your data does not work, dial *ACT03 or *22803, press 1 for English, and then press 1 to program your phone.

If this fails, AND you don't have any data do the following:
  1. Get your SPC using GetSPC and this DLL (copy both to your memory card, then run the program and enter your HEX ESN, then click go. This is your SPC.
  2. Once your phone has rebooted, you will have to press ##778 [Send]
  3. Press Edit
  4. Enter your SPC
  5. Change all of the 000000xxxx@mb.telus to your phone number ie 4161234567@mb.telus as well as the MSID, Mobile Directory Number, Security Settings, and default profile.
Some may also want to look at THIS thread on how to change your SPC to a much more convenient number for the future as well, all you need is QPST.

Flashed this too many times, and can't get a GPS lock. Even tried flashing to a different rom that had stable GPS, but now I got nothing. Anybody having the same problem? or solution suggestions?

I also cannot get a GPS lock, I tried flashing to my previous ROM that would lock immediately, and it didn't work anymore. I probably has to do with the Radio. I have basically downgraded from 3.42.30 to 3.41.00, maybe this radio isn't as ready for GPS as they thought. (I don't understand how Telus Navigator could possibly work?!)

Re: Official Telus HTC Touch Update Released

If I use the trick where I change the data rate to 19200 in External GPS under Settings > System, I can get a GPS lock after that. It would be nice if there was something automated that primed the GPS upon startup.

Just an addendum to the last post. I was able to get a lock using the above method last night but no luck today. :(

No GPS lock for me either.

It looks like streaming media was included as I can watch youtube mobile without installing anything after rom upgrade.

Hmmm. I now get a very strong signal. I will hard reset and see if I can get the same signal again.

I use TomTom 7 and use the Internal GPS setting with AstroLauncher to prime it.

For TomTom 6 you use Other NMEA device and select COM4, that should be it. (with a gps primer of course)
