On the Kitchen I get an error on EPST.EPST from the OEM/OEMAPPS,... I tried to just ignore it and let it build - but after flashing it just hangs on the HTC screen and won't go any further. Any ideas on that? Is there a way to drop the carrier folder from DCD's ROM into this kitchen and have it work?

What's the exact error Build OS gives for epst?

You can try dropping in the carrier settings, or you can set up UC.

Also, how is the best way to put OEMs in the kitchen? it seems when I put my own in the OEM file these Errors occur... thanks again..

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile 6.1.1

Evidently UC order was what my problem was,... I tacked the cab onto the bottom and for some reason Arcsoft was before it,... needed to be after it. Along with several other applications.

EPST Error message was generic:

The bottom of the BuildOS screen says "Processing OEM/OEMAPPS and a dialog box comes up saying: "ERROR: The file EPST.EPST already exits" and the only option is to press "OK",... it immediately goes back to the cmd screen to start building the .nbh,...

Don't imitate and duplicate. Whatever!! I'm just fustrated that were losing the creator of the best ROM I have ever ran on my Touch. Looks like I'm be at XDA a lot more often.

I honestly think he should be proud that people are emulating him, not packing up and leaving. but hey, his roms, his choice I guess

edit: turns out it wasn't emulation, it was more similar to burglary. all makes sense now.

Vet's got a cool new Kitchen based off the Raphael over at XDA. I suggest checking it out.

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile 6.1.1

Whatever build he uses he is calling it the Raphael...regardless it's pretty stable and quick. I just flashed back from the stock ROM with something from his kitchen and it is way better.

No wonder this thread is dead...we lost another chef to (the most noble way to flatter) imitation. Moment of silence for one of my fav Roms.....

Now off to XDA to find a new fav..:-)

Internet can also be easily setup from within the phone itself by clicking "Settings" on the bubble that says it can't connect.

Simply create a new ISP connection
Name it "Sprintpcs"
Set it to dial #777
Leave all login info blank

After using IE to try to connect the first time, it will ask for the password. Leave all fields blank and check the "save password" field.

You should be all set.

Hey Vet is still making ROMs he just moved over to the XDA site, here is his latest work:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413376

I'm oh his newest version of Schwartz!!

No1ustad 08-18-2008 05:20 AM

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile 6.1.1

yeah. but its not advisable to restore a SPB clone file from different ROMs. that. and the newest ones seem to hang on the boot screens after I flash them.

I just installed the shwartz rom. For some reason I can't get the time to display though. Is anyone else having this problem? It displays in small numbers in the title bar, but doesn't display on the today screen in big numbers like the picture shows...

In his screenshots you are seeing PDC, which is not cooked into the ROM. Intsall PDC (Pocket Digital Clock) and you'll be good.

I must say Schwartz is running awesome. Its the fastest ROM I've used yet.

Not me, I like putting what software I want on. Dan's is good if you don't want to customize to your liking.

Hopefully he comes out with the newer "revisited" version that he is talking about. I wished developers would promise "nothing" beforehand so we don't get disappointed by waiting.

unfortunately thats the way it is for everything you could replace "developers" with programmers, manufacturers, news anchors, movie producers, goverments even presidential candidates. Its what keeps the people interested.

You got a point there. :)

Heck, my mentality was "if you built it, they will come".
