I just installed your ROM. I was previously running JD's OEM 6.1 (non revA non gps) rom.

I've been using the rom for about 3 hours now and I have some initial comments.

1) Software store, IM, Sprint Music, and On Demand, all throw errors when selecting them from the cube.

2) Initially my GPS took about 20 minutes to get its first connection. Since then its been better, finding a lock in a matter of seconds. However, its still kind of flaky. I usually see 5-6 active satellites outside and about 3-4 inside except google maps cannot always find a connection. It seems that sometimes I have to load up telenav and let it locate some satellites before gmaps can find any. This doesn't happen all the time though, so i'll spend some more time tomorrow figuring out the root cause.

Otherwise the ROM seems very responsive, Nice work! I'll play with my rom and the GPS a little more tomorrow and see if i notice anything else.

Also do you recommend loading the 3.37.15 radio from the sprint leaked rom? I am currently running the 3.37.10 from the alltel rom

i think i found a bug here is what i wanted to do i went to settings to check what is the sound of my alerts i going to step by step post it not that the op you do not know what i am talking about but to see if anyone else gets the bug

in settings under the personal tab click sounds and notifications when opened click the notifications tab and under event scroll to reminders press the > play sound

phone freezes only way out is soft reset

now here is what i am like wtf i get the windows sync screen again only way out is a soft rest

music store, im, sprint store. is not installed and on demand has a update go the sprint store online from a pc and download it however its name changed off my head i forgot the name.

also it helped i disabled error reporting
phone became faster but that can be a sugar pill all in my mind lol

I am not sure if others are having this trouble but I downloaded V2.1 and I cannot seem to access Camera. I cannot get to it by Camera button or even from photo album.

Not sure if I am the only one having this issue or others as well.

Ok, first I want to say that this ROM is amazing so far, you did a great job.

The ONLY problem I'm having right now is that Slide to unlock locks with about 5 seconds of me not touching the screen...which is extremely annoying, is there anyway I can change this?

EDIT: Nvm! I fixed it, turned off the "Power on when backlight turns on" feature. ^-^

Hi, I'm pretty new here and have spent many many hours researching before actually trying the unlocker, gps rom update, etc... This rom is real nice, I'm liking everything about it so far. I've downloaded this and noticed a few things if I hasn't already been mentioned.

- I think somebody mentioned it already, when you go to align the screen it freezes up the phone.

- For some reason when I'm using touch flow it has a tendency to pull up windows media instead of the cube. It feels like when my finger doesn't grip good enough and I slide windows media pops up, but when I press down really hard is when I'm sure the cube will come up.

- Lastly, the organizer tab on the bottom left worked fine at first, but for some reason now it's not working. I resetted the phone a few times, when I tap it nothing happens.

Let me confirm: I had posted align-screen freeze issue but removed it thinking it must be me after I did a soft-reset. So yes, align screen freezes.

i feel like a noob doing this and even more so since this thread is mostly about the installation and i apologize in advance, so here it goes, can anybody direct me to the Black/Grey WM6.1 boot screen image?

EDIT-Def. feel like a noob after this one, i just figured it out, i saved the image to the ppc and renamed welcomhead.96 and put in windows folder and it worked, just in case anybody else is having brain farts lol

How come when I try to put that VIRSER_GPS file into my windows folder it disappears!!! Is is a hidden file???

Yeah, it's a hidden file, which makes me wonder everytime someone posts that the file's not there. In the file explorer you have to press the menu button and then click on "show all files". That'll make it visible.

Ok thanks I thought I had to do a secret step or something to get it to show up... But im going to see if my GPS works now with that because it wasn't working last night without it. Google maps keeps saying there is no GPS reciever so hopefully I get something now!

Great ROM, and instructions were great. No issues with the new ROM or GPS. Two questions. How can I get the IM program from Sprint back on to the phone, and how can I fix "this program does not have avalid certificate" errors. Also there were two buttons on the sprint home screen that did not work. Thoughts?

Cool the mp3 trimmer, I like it it simple and all the music thats on my sd card this make it easy to make ringtones without having to sync and etc.....

Hey so I have a few more comments on this rom.

1) My GPS is still pretty flaky, I am going to try and install the VIRSER_GPS dll and see if that helps. I live in Seattle and shouldn't have any coverage problems.

2) The touch keyboard has a lot of problems, it doesn't remember if you were last in t9 mode, it doesn't work with skyfire, or telnav at all really. By doesn't work, in both skyfire and telnav every time you press a key in the 20 key layout it just prints a period or another symbol rather than any letters.

I'm not sure if everyone is having these issues or if they just for me but in my experience too much information is better than no information.

also for everyone using this rom, I love this hack, I use it on every ROM I have... It allows you to remove the permissions check that the emmerstec java shows you every time you startup the browser. You can get all the info from here. http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/656281-post19.html

The ROM is great, installation was no problem, but I am also having flaky GPS connection. Will it help to do that PSST installation from the other thread on this forum? I haven't tried it, but has anyone tried that?

Anyone having connection speed issues? Is this Rev A? I used to get over 800kbit/sec consistently with my last update, but now I only get <600kbit/sec.

Great ROM, one of the best so far. Best GPS performance. I do have one issue though. My voice command is not working. I pair up my bluetooth headset, when I click on the button on my headset, voice command does not come up. This is the only ROM i've had this issue. I'm running v2.1 and did do a hard reset. Any suggestions?

Ok, for you guys having a problem with the screen aligning freezing and having to soft reset, its because of ftouchflo. Trust me on that one. I used to have it installed on my mogul when I had it, and I installed it when I first got my touch and it did the same thing. When I uninstalled it, my screen aligning worked again. Also, it seemed to make S2U2 a lil less responsive for me but it was an older version so idk about now.

Now, before I flash, a couple questions:

-Can anyone else confirm that jivetalk isn't working? Its my favorite IM app.

-I saw a mention of someone not having their camera, even in V 2.1. Anybody else?

I just flashed to this one, and everything seems successful, but I can't seem to dial out or get a data connection right now. Is there a waiting period before it will come back on or do I need to program the phone with some info? Sorry, probably a noob question! Thanks much!

For those having problem with GPS. It's a good idea to first flash leaked rom, run PPST.exe first. I initially went straight onto this rom and my gps was not working. So I installed Leaked rom and ran PPST. And then I installed this rom. Now it works flawlessly. I don't even bother with GPSviewer. I use googlemap straight out. I get lock witin 30 secs or less outside.

File located in windows dictionary that helps you get a quick gps lock after you run it and then attempt to get a gps lock.

so the ppst.exe should be in the windows folder right? is it hidden or what, cuz i cant find it, maybe it's not in the alltel rom. but i just was tryna avoid having to install a whole new rom and reinstall my stuff, but oh well i may have to if that is the case.
