Ok i got the Windows Vista - WA2 theme working properly on my own. It took A LOT of knitty gritty down and dirty work and it was VERY time consuming as you mentioned it most likely would be. I was able to successfully build a ROM with a pre-registered WA2 and the Windows Vista WA2 theme pre-selected and everything runs so smoothly. I will upload the OEM after it has been more thoroughly tested.

I eagerly await your OEM of the Vista Cube 2.0 3-sided Blank animations. Once I have that, my ROM will be about complete.

Notes: I also imported the registry settings from my device into the two above OEMs so you all can further customize your devices.
Both oems work, cooked up great in the ppcgeeks kitchen. Because the kitchen included s2u2 1.03 and s2v (as one oem), I extracted that oem from the ppcgeeks oem rar and added these two to user_oems.

Ok, someone wanna test this. It is the Vista Cube 2.0, 3-sided. I got this cube to install via cab, the dialer and 3-app launcher is just not polen-ized...The App side has polen's icons.

By not "polen-ized" do you mean that the 3-app side and the quickdial are not getting skinned in the OEM?

If that's the case then is there any way to just remove the 4th side from the 4-sided blank animations and edit the rgu? I will give it a try later but right now I am having problems with the kitchen so i will need another person to test it.

Yep, I figure if ya have a working cube, someone could skin it. That is how the cab installed to my device. I know sprint has a mxipupdate_operator_3.provxml with the cube settings I think, could be changing them all back. Are they in the kitchen rom as well? (no laptop today).

Edit: Also I noticed today "dialer side" in both is not usable, nothing happens when you push it. Somewhere here someone had an s3 cube that works....can you skin it to make it look like you want. It didn't work for me before because the registry thing on mms and activesync. But it worked 100% from a cab. I'll revisit it tonight...

Well when I installed the 3 sided blank animation cab file(fixed version) it worked great. All 3 sides appeared exactly as they were intended to and functioned properly as well. I just prefer the full animations. I'm close to givin up... I'm really gettin there

So I sobered up today and tried to take another stab at the vista cube 2.0 4-sided blank animations OEM. I'm seriously trying to get the 2.0 3-sided full animations working.

Here is what I did so far.
- I downloaded the OEM for the Vista Cube 2.0 4-sided blank animations.
- Edited the initflashfiles.txt to remove all "side 4" files
- Removed all "side 4" files from oem
- Replaced animations with Full animations
- Edited the option.xml and initflashfiles.txt to change the name to "Polen Vista Cube - 3-Sided Full Animations"
What I need help with now is editing the RGU. I know which files are side 4 files but it seems like editing the RGU file could be dangerous if not done right. I really could use some help with this one.

All you need to do is use a program like CeRegistryEditor, export the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch to biotouch.cereg. Then open that with a text editor, select all, copy. Open the RGU from the oem Delete everything except for the top two lines. Then paste in your entries from biotouch.cereg. Ensure you leave at least two blank lines at the bottom of the file, then save your RGU.

But if you would rather upload it (the biotouch.cereg), I could do that for you...

So Install the 3-sided blank animations cab file and then export the entire registry and then replace whats in the RGU file? I'll give it a whirl but if I need help i'll be back

Yep. Once you have the cube working like you want it on your device... That way you get your icon, programs, params, and all the other settings...

Alright I need to get the official ROM back on my phone real quick. I just got a new one again cus the replacement I got yesterday didn't have a microphone(I'm on #6 now in case you were wondering). Go figure...

Then I'll install the cube on my device again. I am gonna do exactly as you said and then I need a victim. Someone to test the OEM and see if it works cus right now I'm having massive problems with the kitchen. Fatal errors on start up.

You up for bein a guinea pig my friend?

Only because I'll look inside first! :) Sure, I'm starting my rom again from the sprint version. I think I deleted one too many things from OEMAPPS...So, I'll be ready to flash in say an hour...

Ok. Here is the OEM for Vista Cube 2.0 Full Animations it is based off your OEM of the 4-sided blank animations and has been extensively modified.

Please test it for me and let me know if it works. I would test it myself but like I said, my computer is having "issues"

2 known issues with the cube that I know of(by installing via cab) are that the Pocket Express link does not work unless pocket express is installed(obviously) and the Settings button and Programs button does not work. I can't find the shortcuts to fix it.

NOTE:: This has the same guid as your 4-sided version as I didn't change that. This is gonna cause errors in BuildOS if you have the 4-sided version in the kitchen too.

Here is the OEM for AEBPlus 2.6.3. It is the latest version. It is a trial version so you must have your own serial/registration code.

For those interested, I just updated the following OEM's on the first post:

OEM_TouchPal_wm6_1_v3_5.rar.....................TouchPal for WinMo v6.1 v3.5

OEM_wisbaradv2.9.0.2_armv4i-WM5...............WisBar Advance v2 (shareware $9.99)
(no longer expired when installed, edited RGU so you can add your registration information)

Both tested by me before uploading. :)

Edit: Fixed Touchpal. the backspace key.png didn't get converted. Fixed.

dharvey, it worked perfectly. And you only need to register it if you want some added settings (I didn't because I only wanted it to work with toggling BT).

rstoyguy, none of your OEMs worked for me using the 19588 BuildOS kitchen. I got an error on the two I used (opera mini and GPSToday) displaying "Internal error - Extraneous rgu detected" followed by "RGU _____ is missing".

Not sure if there's something you need to update to work with that specific kitchen.

I thank you for your efforts though!

I use them all in my rom, but it is 19208. The opera mini was uploaded for another user and has some RGU issues. GpsToday0.9.8.1 w/geotagger works great for me. Opera...you must have went straight to the ftp... lol ;)

If you open that RGU file in notepad you need to make sure that at the bottom of the text file it has 2 "blank" lines below everything else. Why this is important I don't know but it is required.

Lol I'm the one that gave you that Old *** v2. I just prefer the GUI over v3 thats all. Not to mention v3 seems to operate a little slower as it does not create a pre-defined themes folder and for all the machine cares, the theme could be anywhere on the device.

Okay I thought this would prob be the best place to ask, but how were I to go about making my own OEM's correctly? Im trying to extract all the updated sprint programs (ex. Sprint TV) in the 3.03 rom so I can cook it into my own rom, but I seem to be having trouble locating what files and folders I should be copying after I run prepit on the sprint 2.nbh file. Can you maybe give a quick run through on how its done?

The tutorial has already been done at xda. Here is the link:

Most of the sprint programs are in ..\OEM\OperatorPKG_PT in cab form. They get installed via customization. If you have any questions ask and good luck on your quest! :)

Wow quick response, I took a cursory glance at the OperatorPKG_PT folder and all I saw was a .dsm file, did I somehow fudge up preping it somehow?

Check your explorer and make sure you can view system files. In the stock 3.03 release I see the following cab files:
audiopara
getgl
getmail
groovemobile
hidden
livesearch
ondemand
ppst
spcs get oz
spcs todayplugin
sprinttv

There are a couple more cab files in the OEMAPPS folder:
sprint-navigation
wm6_ppc_...opera
restorepie.

Of course I abbreviated all the names. :)

Thank you for looking at this so quickly but when I try to extract the rar file the archieve is "corrupt". Are you using an updated version of winrar? Is it possible that you could post the OEM with the least possible compression (perhaps it will be easier for me to open it. Again, thank you for your efforts.
