Download his kitchen and make the following changes to the file "Diamond.htcrtproj" with notepad:

Diamond.htcrtproj Before:
Quote:

[Project]
Magic=kateiloveyou
Version=1
[Buildrom]
Device=Diamond
ModelId=DIAM*****
CountryId=11111111
VersionId=Calcus v1.3
LanguageId=WWE
Sect_0x400=False,"OS.nb"
Diamond.htcrtproj After:
Quote:

[Project]
Magic=kateiloveyou
Version=1
[Buildrom]
Device=Titan
ModelId=TITA*****
CountryId=11111111
VersionId=Calcu v1.3
LanguageId=WWE
Sect_0x400=False,"OS.nb"
And that should work for you. When you build, pretend you have a "Diamond"

You might want to pm calcu then and give him a few more details on where your getting the message and exactly what it is.

You probably want to ask that question in the HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes thread so you get a better answer...

Re: How to Customize a Custom Rom: Adding/Removing Programs

hey guys I have a question about building an OEM.. For example, I'd like to make a package from a cab I have for a clock. I made one for MMS Arcsoft already and it asked location, so I picked the "programs" option and it made some settings referencing the windows folder, however, when I did the Clock cab, I saw no such place where it would be installed. If the OEM folder was made, and I dropped it into the kitchen OEM folder...is that it? It should just get installed? My second question is......Is it true that any cab, no matter if it is a registry setting, clock, etc. can be used for an OEM? or do they have to be an "application/program"?

*edit* I was just given the cab2oem prog and it works great so far!

Ask and ye shall recieve! I was told by another member here that this program will NOT work with cabs that have like 1000 files.

Hate to necro a thread, but I need to say thanks for this. Disaster befell my kitchen and I was able to recover to the point of my last release! I had to rearrange the OEM's and move a bunch of oems from SYS back to OEM and recreate all the option.xml's but other than that, excellent! thanks again!

You can also just leave the bulk of the OEM's in the SYS too. And I have done the same thing a time or two on some of my roms, botched the kitchen and rebuilt from a released rom. One of the many reasons that I don't protect my roms when I build them.

I have been using these tools since the Vogue days and now I am onto an Imagio. I am trying to use the same tools to extract an Imagio ROM, but the Dumprom process terminates abnormally. Have you thought about porting this over to Imagio/TP2? Would the Diamond tools work?

Thanks,
Steve

These tools have a size limitation and can barely extract a diamond rom. I have moved on to ervius's visual kitchen. Can still break down a stock rom as well.

Have you thought about putting together a tutorial on EVK? I have download the kitchen, but there is really no doc on how to set it up.

mechanically speaking, what are the pros/cons involved with or without removing unused programs?

Pros:
Makes for a smaller ROM.

Cons:
Could screw with a dependency, just like the post above yours.

Best Bet when removing stuff in the OEM folder is to do it one at a time. i.e. Remove, cook, and test... Then if everything works works repeat, if not add it back in and try another.

I'm pretty sure the All people phonebook looks at facebook too... I would add facebook back in and see if it helps.

Hello,

I'm trying to do some customization for the first time, and having some questions. I have an HTC Vogue (Sprint), unlocked and flashed the radio and a few ROMs, but that's the limit of my experience thus far.

I would like to customize a copy of NFSFAN's Vogue WM6.5 ROM (remove some outdated applications), but after reading through the tutorial I am unable to locate a copy of PPCKitchen_OEM.rar to start. There is a kitchen name PPCk-BuildOS.msi available for download at PPCKitchen, is that useable?
