Thanks. After a couple of soft-resets it seems to be better now. I'm not outside (since there's a thunderstorm), so I can't try the GPS with these versions yet.

OOOOOO it seems to be working. I will let you know if and when I fails... Google Maps is also working now....

I am using..

Radio 3.37
ROM: the new nochem kitchen
Astro and iGO, Google Maps

I am locking 5 sats inside and very overcast outside....:headbang:

If this does fix the problems, how would one go incorporate them into one of the kitchens??

Re: GPS & standby mode

OK. I have tested for over 4 hours now. I think we are on to something....
Using the new kickstart and new drivers and the new kitchen I am having great success. I still need Astro to launch iGO and Google Maps still needs primed which is really weird. I run my Vogue and Mogul side by side and the Mogul is hands down the best gps but I average 5 sats on my vogue indoors and out. I am not sure why Google Maps needs primed on the vogue but not the Mogul. I thought that the only reason we needed to prime is because of the new intemediate drivers from Microsoft. I need to prime the Mogul to use iGO but not Google Maps and certainly not Live Search.

But the good news is that it is working. I have had complete success for longer then ever before. I have put the phone into standby for 2 hours and it locked on in under 30 secs indoors. I took it to the store and it was accurate within a few feet while driving.

I think we are on to something...

I have noticed the same thing regarding priming the GPS first. So I gave the Today pluggin a shot that is in OMJ rom, and it does the priming for me which is working out for me now.

I hate using Today plugins. Since I have HTC Home and TodayAgenda, I don't have much real estate left lol.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm using iGuidance (which requires GPSGate to work properly), so when I leave work today I'm going to try iGuidance with GPSGate and not prime it first and see if iGuidance can get sats.

Then tomorrow morning (after having the phone in standby for 8+ hours), I will try GPS again to see if this fixes the standby issue.

I tried iGuidance today with the new drivers, and it was working a little bit better. Still had the staggering issue with the map while driving but it is not as bad as before. I guess where getting a little bit closure to a solution.

The staggering issue is fixed if you use GPSGate. Its talked about in the Titan forums. There's an issue with iGuidance and using internal GPS, but if you use a proxy like GPSGate it works fine.
