Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

I must say, with a little tinkering, it is definitely the most stable and complete ROM that I have used Post 3xx upgrade.

Downloaded the Vogue Dialer OEM and my 6 Button Touch Dual Comm Manager OEM and extracted the images and copied them to the windows folder. I installed the 6 button Home plugin. I installed the Touch wait animation, and added a different HTC.tsk that has darker bars. Now it is very complete.

Thanks for this great ROM.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

After using this rom for a while can you guys still get consistent gps locks? In some of the other roms the gps seems to fade away after a day or two of use

In that same regional setting go in the first tab, and you will see that it says English (Canada). Change this to English (United States). This did it for me.

Also ghetto can you cook HHC into your next rom and go ahead an edit post 1 to say how to change the weather city. People refuse to read and it is getting asked far too much.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

Did you soft reset after changing it? All I know is that I went to the date tab and it was already on m/d/y. I then went to the region tab and changes it there. I immediately did a soft reset and it was fixed.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

barf I changed to English (United States) did a soft reset and then went into the date tab and clicked on the drop down box for short date and if you hit the up arrow the first option should be M/d/yy, I set it to that and it worked.

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

GPS works great - fast fixes and updates. I drove to work and routed myfirst course with live search, it was great. DATA is quick SprintTV plays with less buffering. I just had to boost the volume in the registry from 60 to 100. I also added the keys to the registry for maxthreads and maxserverconnections, I set them to 25. Calls working great too. I might be crazy but I think I get better signal with this new radio. No Lockups so far, and games play with minimal lag. This ROM is THE ROM to have. imho

Ghettofreeryder you are my fav shef.

I still like the old taskmgr program with the ping, ipconfig, built in registry editor and notifications manager better than this skimpy one. lol, ok done *****ing.
