Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

I just flashed the Titan 3.35 Radio and the Ghetto's 7.00 ROM. I must say that the GPS did not work right off the bat. I don't know what it was but after I went into phone app (dialer) and then Menu->Options->Services Tab and checked the Location Setting, it was set to be Emergency only (911). After changing this to ON, the GPS started working for both Google Maps and Garmin XT. Before, it would just not pick up any satellites and Google Maps would not show the blue dot thing either.

For those running Garmin XT and Softick Card Export (a program that turns your storage card into a usb mass storage device and bypassing Activesync), you will run into a conflict. Basically the problem is with Garmin. It always tries to run itself when the device thinks that the storage card is inserted. So when you plug in the usb cable, Softick takes over and then nothing happens for a while, then Garmin pops up asking if you want to run the program. To avoid this conflict, delete the numerical folder called 7577 (or something like that). it has the autorun.exe in there. This will prevent Garmin from trying to run itself.

Also, for Garmin XT, if for some reason, when you get a lock on your satellites, it resets the time and then sets it back. This will cause all your alarms or calendar reminders to fire. I had about 10 appointments throughout the week along with my daily wake up alarm and they all went off at the same time and almost caused the device to lock as I was frantically trying to dismiss them all. The fix for this is to downgrade to version 4.20.20. The versions 4.20.30 and above have this problem.

Hopefully, I helped somebody with this info

zen...install htc home customizer, go to the weather tab, switch the list to custom, fill in the city info in the bottom half and save it

Did you hard reset after the initial flash? Have you tried reflashing yet?

Re: Ghettofreeryder v7 Roms - Rev A, GPS

Thanks, I had the exact same problem with Garmin. I corrected the autorun by deleting the folder, but how do I downgrade to 4.20.20?
