Re: Titan 3.35.04 radio

Tested COLD GPS Start this morning.

aGPS was nearly instant and 4 Sats in under a minute. Outside blue skies.

Tested with Google Maps (NOT USING COM PORT). I think using COM port might prevent Google Maps from using the "assist". Note: the windows mobile COM port emulation stinks which is why iGuidance can't use it all so I avoid it when I can.

You can definitely tell the assist is working with Google Maps because you get a rough position with no Sats first.

When using GPSGate I always set Input to WM GPS (that uses the WM API) using the COM port as input (as I had seen in some FAQs) defeats the purpose of taking WM's Virtual COM port out of the loop.

The thing that bothers me the most on this ROM is the Fonts. Anyone know how to fix this? They are slightly large in some places, slight small in others and not as sharp anywhere.

I don't really want to stop using this Hybrid OS ROM because I suspect the drivers are helping make assist work better which is why locks are quicker. And it fixes Voice Command. If had those two features on a ROM like the Alltel 6.0 ROM I'd be done. Don't like ROMs with tons of stuff in them.

Does anyone know if there's a cab for MS Office anywhere? I didn't even notice that its not in the ROM, and I actually do use it sometimes lol.

The file I used is posted in the following thread Post #4
HERE

I then went and downloaded the official update to 6.1 from MS HERE
All seemed to work fine.

Hope that helps

Help! Help! Help!

Ok, my first cry for help. I just made a bonehead mistake when settling in my final reg changes. In my haste, I searched for "rilphone" in the registry and deleted the first thing that popped up, which was a big mistake, because it was the entry under HKLM\Comm\Cellular\RIL or HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL. The end result is that after a reset, my unit does not detect a cellular radio.

Can one of you champions post here what the "rilphone" value is in each of those locations, so I can add it back? Thanks VERY much in advance!

Re: Titan 3.35.04 radio

Under Cellular\RIL I just have a Default key that says (value not set).

under the drivers RIL key, i have one string that says Dll and the value of rilphone.dll (with a bunch of other keys if you need those too let me know).

Frosty, you saved me. Thanks man. Good thing I paid attention (somewhat) to where I clobbered it from (it was HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL). I seriously think I shat a twinkie there.

Hey, if anyone wants to have a GREAT time, just delete that one entry. Guaranteed to make your phone lose all connectivity in a matter of seconds.
