Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
I am experiencing a problem in Messaging...
Usually, when reading a mail, when I click the "X" button, I was getting back to the list of emails but with this ROM, it simply exits the application and I'm back to Today Screen... BTW, I have set the "X" to close software instead of minimizing it (I'm using the camera button to go back to today's screen) ... Maybe it can be the cause ? (was using this config with Bell's ROM and wasn't having the probleme) |

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
So it seems I have lost all GPS use after the first two days with this ROM. The hardware works but I simply can not get a lock. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the ROM since I experienced the same thing with JD's ROM. I hope the sprint ROM leaks in the not too distant future.

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
Here is what i did to get the Gps Working Smoothly. First download GPSgate. http://franson.com/gpsgate/download.asp?platform=winxp
Once you have it installed. configure it this way using manual mode. Input-WM GPS Output-Comm port 4 - 4800buad Advanced - Start GPSgate after soft reset. Soft reset your Vogue, you will get an error message stating that GPSgate didnt shutdown properly. check, never show me this message again and start after soft reset. you will notice a GPSgate icon at the bottom of your today screen. Start you GPS software. I.E. Windows live, Google Maps, TomTom, ect. they will get their GPS fixes quicker and more reliable. At least that is what im experiancing. Im not sure about battery drain yet i have only been running this way for about 3 hrs. I will post later to let you know what kind of battery drain is going to happen with GPSgate up and running all the time. |

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
Well, i saw no real battery drain from having GPSgate up and running all the time. But the GPS is still flaky. sometimes it works great other time i give up on it and fire up me External bluetooth Gps so i dont have to deal with the internal Vogue GPS.

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
I have another issue with this ROM and wondered if anyone else experienced it. When I get an incoming call it does not show the incoming number on the popup. IF it is a contact I have in my list with a picture associated with it you see the picture. If it is a unknown contact it is just a blank space with no number. When you check the list of incoming calls everything is listed fine there. Anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix?
When you do a soft reset it fixes it but starts again. Now It may be because i have been playing with the settings so I will leave as is an see if happens again. Second question - is there a way to change the phone dialers colour to match a theme that you use. For example I like to use HTC grey theme and it just looks a little strange when the dialer comes up in light blue. Last edited by kaikara; 05-01-2008 at 03:38 PM. |

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
Are you using S2U2? There's a setting in there to specify the incoming phone number format and I think the default might be blank...

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
Does anyone have the original rom in case I really screw something up? I need to use my phone for business and if I go a day or two without it I'm in trouble.

Has anyone had any problems with the Core Player? It is very unstable with this ROM and the menu disappears after the first use of the menu.

Re: Mustan-Tech - WM6.1 v3 (with GPS & Rev. A)
I tried both mega and clean ROM, they both give me same problem.
My desktop with Vista Ultimate cannot sync with my phone while my laptop with XP has no problem. I am sure my WMDC is up to date, actually it had no problem before the flash. It simply won't recognize the phone at all. Any suggestion? And the HTC Home is not 6 tab, it is 5 tab, and 1% battery increment does not work. |
