Before and after speed tests:

Before:

After:
I'm not even going to post the humiliatingly low results I got with this last test. It will not even break 400kbps.

Here's mine. For some reason it suggests me to choose Dallas TX server eventhough I'm in San Francisco.

Mine is in my sig. I'm currently running JD's custom ROM. I'm in new york but for some reason they make me choose the cliftton, NJ server. My speeds are horrible.

With Teathering

On speedtest.net

I got between 700-780 kb download and between 500-650 kb upload. My Latency was always between 100-110 ms. A big improvement from rev 0. Also this is in my room with only 2 bars of signal. The biggest improvement I've noticed for me is the upload and latency. If you're getting under 150ms you're most likely running evdo.

No you shouldn't have to activate. I'm assuming you flashed the Alltel rom first and then JD's? To use speedtest.net, you have to tether your laptop to your phone.

could be worse but nothing fancy

EDIT: varies a lot depending on the server chosen. Max around 1.5 MB/s down and 350 kB/s up.

Work:

Oh okay I see about the speed testing. I did follow the complete tutorial and I did flash the Alltell rom first and my internet was working with that rom, then I upgraded to JD's 6.1 rom. I guess the only noticable difference with internet speed would be with tethering?
