For the speed skeptic, I just got 898kbit/sec on dslreports.com/mspeed without rev a. I will edit this post to tell you what I get after update. BTW, I am in the 116 SID right now.

Edit: Thanks mark. I found those particular files earlier, but looked p***** them as the one is missing. I also need to know how to use them. So if you or anyone else knows how to use them and finds the other, please let me know.

Edit 2: Speed wasn't any faster for me. Probably my market. Would love to get that GPS working though!

Edit 3: wow... alot of edits... anyway. 3rd file is up on the same thread over at xda. Anyone know where to put it?

Do you know if Rev. A is in your area?

But as stated earlier, put all three files in the /windows/ directory

I have no idea. I don't think so, because I get the same signal and the same speed. I'm in Clemson, SC. I think it's part of the Greenville, SC market. We got EVDO bout a year to year and a half ago. I will be in Charleston in a week and a half, so if no one else has updated, I will try to let everyone know if it gets revA.

Also, I put the files in the windows director, soft reset. Nothing changed.

Yes, and you can use Dot Freds Taskmanager to see if the gps drivers, and services were started, or you might have to manually start them.

Thanks! I checked the tasks, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Any more clues for me?

Edit: I take that back. Under the services tab I see the GpsDaemonService.dll running. Gonna play a little more and see what happens.

Edit 2: Guys, I just love to edit in case you haven't noticed yet... So I also just found that the service is stopped. When I choose to start, it says:
Title: "Service Start Error"
Window Content: "The system cannot find the file specified."

Under devices, there is one called 'gps1' that when i choose to load, i get the same error.

I feel like we are inches away from GPS and Rev. A on all devices... I can feel it. The force is strong...

i found those files i posted on xda in another thread so they are not mine. Musicman knows about the Macflo problem and I'm trying to get him the registry dump to help him fix the problem (soon as he tells me how to do it) If you install it to the device you can uninstall when it doesn't work, or just take my word for it - it won't work yet. Something was changed in the cube annimation and face displays. Anyone find other changes that affect software compatibility?

hgray,

Do you see the GPS drivers loaded under the drivers tab?

This is starting to seem like it is going to be the best day since the device was released... Whichever day it ends up being that this all becomes available...

Woah, weird... all the posts just showed up. Weird cache I guess. Updating this post now.

mardukeme: I don't see a 'drivers' tab on the task manager. Under the 'services' tab, the gps service points to the GpsDaemonService.dll

I have v3 of the task manager.

BTW, armus... I can't install google maps. I got it to work with a sprite backup, but too many other things were crashing, so I just got my contacts and left the rest alone.
